We hold positions in JPM OLED ACGL GLOB PAGS TEAM and many many more. Looking at these charts I would have thought IBD would have added some of the ones they eliminated and taken off some of the ones they added. I guess they are right to eliminate $FHN $NOW $PAGS $QIXI $WDAY $WAL But that's why I subscribe to SMM. The IBD's $FFTY isn't doing that good at all. $SSO is better by far.

He'll be the whipping boy for the liberals thru November every time @barry or @Reid or Levin needs a poster child for the big bad Wall Streeters. Even tho no taxpayer was hurt in the commission of this trade. $WMT is another one DC can't wait to get their teeth into for "bribes in Mexico". #CNBC has had sanctimonious guests on today saying how bad it is to bribe. Nobody asked the Mexican family that now has access to the products WalMart offers. How about the Cornhusker Kickback to pass obamacare, Lobbyists in the $WH, Bundlers for @barry, high-speed rails to desert towns where nobody lives, or Fast and Furious weapons to Mexican drug lords?
- boulder: STOPS - The door for these algo and high frequency trades was opened in the Bush SEC. The current SEC has been "studying" the situation since they arrived. Nearly everyone that has a comment endorses the Up-tick rule that kept markets more level. IMHO the up-tick rule would largely decrease the High frequency sweeping. You might want to add your thoughts to the $WH and the SEC.

- jasper: $ARNA - Printing an all time low, ever, @ 1.89 today. Looks like liquidation mode to me. Not sure about the negative comments expected regarding diet drugs with the push the $WH is making for "healthier" foods in kids diets. Taking out vending machines in schools. obama sneaking cheeseburgers in the Hamptons. Sell-off two days before disclosure raises a red flag to me tho. Methinks somebody knew something.

I'm still curious as to why the solar company obama gave 600 million to this week has a CFO who is married to one of his $WH advisors. The company admits they won't be profitable until at least 2014. - taylor: $BP - the stock has picked itself up off of the floor and the Put option premiums are collapsing. Jun 30 puts have been halved, from 1.60 to .80. Oct 25 puts are down too. I have no conviction that this upmove is anything more than a blip, but with the news so negative, with congress, the $WH, and the press beating on this company 24 hours a day, the fact that the sellers can't push the stock to a new low is telling. edit: just shorted $BP Jun 36.0 Calls @ 0.28. This just shows that the call buyers are not dead yet, but I think they lose this bet and these calls expire on Friday.
- jasper: $BP - Where's John Wayne when you need him? Probably waiting for an Environmental Impact study. Red Adair put out gazillions of fires in his career. We went into Kuwait after Sadam's pullback when his troops torched every well they could, and put them out in record time. It was supposed to take years and we did it in months. And now we have an 8 inch pipe on 24/7 tv monitors that brings an entire industry to it's knees? This whole Gulf thing is what happens when the gubment gets involved. Pack a little C4 a few hundred feet down the tube and stop the flow. It' ain't rocket science. Maybe Sir @Paul and obama can find a book on the subject in the ?newly discovered? $WH library. Good to know obama won't rest until the leak is solved.

Best Chinese stocks for me this year, hands down: $EJ (real estate, on fire), $BIDU (internet) & $MR (medical equipment, about to expand into the US). For the past several years (in and out at times), and to present, I've also traded these, which you might want to look at: DIPGY (electric power) DGW (water supply), CEO (state sponsored oil), $CTRP (main travel agency), $LFC (life insurance (& investments), LONKF (heavy equipment manufacturer), $CHL (mobile telecom), $XIN (real estate), CSR (security equipment), $CYB (currency play), $CGA (fertilizer), $YZC (coal), and keep on your radar $WH (a very profitable company manufacturing drill equipment tubing for CNOOC, Petrochina, Sinopec and others.) $CAF is a good managed (@Morgan Stanley) overall fund. $Z

Any thoughts? $THC posted solid earnings and jumped as a result last week. Now it looks like it's in a bull flag except for today's lower low. - rmacgurn: Good Morning- finally a very good day in the market with $CGA and $WH took small postions in $CPA and $SQM both meet @DAN's criteria for #squeeze but each is extended well above the 200, I assume that makes it more risky. $RFMD seems to be moving out OK and it is even further from support base. can you more experienced people tell me how you factor that into the equation on a #squeeze? thanks and enjoy the weekend. rick
- strucman: RMAC - I'm long both $CHU and WH. $CHU has continued to gain and I'm OK with that. It will benefit long term with the wireless build out in China. Then there's the possibility of an agreement with Apple for Iphones. I bought more $WH today and will continue as it drops. Do you remember when they announced earnings last time? 20% overnight. Considering their market and that they're in China, I expect the same thing in another month or two. Hang in there.

I am now into some short ETF's again with stops, $SKF and $DUG both are in the green but it is starting to look like these are day trades as two days running i could have made much more by selling shortly after open and buying back on the lows...still holding $CGA, LINE, $UDN (kind of opposite with $DUG maybe) and started small pos. with $WH and $CHU yesterday, liking the china thing but both in downtrends now it seems. thanks rick
