- spmeyers: Short candidates: I did a scan Thursday for NYSE stocks that broke below the lower bollinger band -- several dozen showed up, most of them with downsloping 200-day and 50-day, and price below those lines. Quite a few are failing after a rebound to the 50-day or so. I'm working off 1-year daily charts. A few I started that still have room to fall are $CDEV, $LITE, $MDRX, $SPB, $CLB, $CX. I'm keeping stops fairly loose. Also $ECA

- Jadee: #SPB My New (March) George Foreman Grill died over the weekend. Zap pow breakers and blue sparks. Made in the Peoples Republic of course and I don't mean Cambridge. I was not aware that it was made by Spectrum Brands and hadn't looked at the company for a long time. Short story long took me about 7 mins to get someone, give them my info and have them promise a replacement out in a week. I build call and data centers for a living so am hyper aware when talking to agents. I give them high marks for customer service and well designed systems. $SPB is on my watchlist it just started walking up the outside of the band after an earnings miss last week. I don't see a trade, if anything this would be based on fundamentals. I'm surprised I havent followed this for so long.
