Competing in the same space as $MIND I don't have an informed opinion on the effectiveness, but I wonder if it will have a cult following like the pot stocks a couple years ago.
- Pokersmith: @Henry $ATAI $MIND if anyone thinks that, they must be trippin' 🤪🤭
- Wolf: @shoredriver $MIND $MINDP For a trading stock, but not so much for a yield hog. Liquidity can work both ways. Good news can make a big move.
- Wolf: $MIND @jan2138 This is a low volume company that leases seismic products. There is a preferred isue $MINDP that has been paying a steady 9.5% (.56) dividend for about 2 years. I took a spec position. I think it could have about a 25% upside potential.
- shoredriver: @Wolf $MIND $MINDP liquidity is not an issue??

KEEP IN $MIND WITH THESE #REITs: they have been able to take advantage of the extraordinarily low interest rates to create revenue and set themselves up for repeated secondary offerings to bolster their operations. When the Federal Reserve starts ... - bigbartabs: XLE... energy... if you are long, I would watch this closely... right at resistance. Taking some off here could make sense... and then buy some back if it closes higher than 79.51... and buy it all back if it advances tomorrow. Sort of like @Dan's 1% rule... lower risk as it crosses the line... then if it is for real, right back in. Think of it this way... you are on a motorcycle going 80mph... you see a @brick wall (resistance)... with a 3 foot narrow door... you slow to 20 mph (reduce risk)... to make sure you navigate the door... then right back to 80mph (risk on). What did you lose? Not much. What did you gain? Well, not getting killed of course... but also, the PEACE OF $MIND of not getting killed. That has value as well. FWIW

- jojo1480: Bakken Oil plays- might want to put these on your radar screen $CLR OAS $CLH, have been long trimming/adding for a while, seems to be turning after a catatonic period of "calmness". Long $CLR OAS $CLH, and $MIND (MIND earnings ahs tonight).
- iron: @jojo happy birthday!! Thanks again for your generous posts. I am foll wing you with $MIND into earnings I hope you do not MIND.
- beija_flor: $MIND Whew! Nice b-day present for our friend. Up 13% $AH on earnings.
- jojo1480: $MIND - @iron, looks like we lucked out again, :o))
- MSL: $MIND, congrats Jojo, saw it was up nicely in ahs.
- jojo1480: MIND- seismograph engineering firm, oil exploration cos utilize their expertise. $TA the 5ema crossing over the 20ema. Looking @the daily chart, stock is trading slightly above 50dma, and 50dma is where the upper BBand currently resides. Long $MIND CLR $OAS CLH
- vze2n77d: $MIND - Earnings after the close tomorrow
- Goose: $MIND ----jojo, any thoughts on LNG?
- jojo1480: $MIND OAS $SNCR QSII- all of these stock am looking to add tomorrow (position size 40-60%). Looking @the 5day ema Xing above the 20ema, usually results in a pop of several points. Whether that is going to occur/not remains to be seen. $HLF after a major brokerage (can' t remember which one $JPM MS ???, in $GOOG finance), strong recommendation by the analyst community, looking to add to position and more upside (currently position size is overweight 130%). Long $HLF NUS, and the above.
- jojo1480: MIND- this seismic engineering company for the gas/oil cos. starting to recover. I bought the stock initially at the 50dma, in the past it would bounce, not this time. Now coming off the lower BBand, it made a nice move today. Could be worth keeping an eye on. Long $MIND (currently down 3.2%), looking to add soon.
- jojo1480: $QSII MIND- both are working nicely today. $QSII approaching that golden cross moment (significant/or not?) many technicians believe in it will add to long term position above the 20dma. $MIND touching the 50dma (resistance), will when it close above. Long $MIND QSII
- jojo1480: OAS- now at the 50dma, adding a little more, see if the bounce will hold. Long $OAS CLR $DK CLH $LNG GLNG $MIND, others were effected by sequestration process, lol.
- curo: @DAN-That was a very excellent video. This is the exact kind of detail and info that I need to face my personal trading reality and hon my market skills. Good brain food, thanks again. I heard a great interview over on the discipline investor, Podcast 246. http://www.thedisciplinedinvestor.com/blog/ The interview was with @Denise Shull and she wrote a book called "MARKET $MIND GAMES" My copy is on it's way from Amazon right now. I highly recommend for everyone to at least listen to this interview.

Henry: $MIND Maybe it's a problem with your entry rather than your stop. The stock was up 23% since it gapped up in Dec. Even more if you include the gap.
The stock in the very short term is moving sideways. Using yesterday's low creates a high risk o ... - garoseme: @Dan or any of the experienced traders For several weeks you have pounded the need to place stop orders. This morning I bought $MIND at a price which I believed it was the low for the day, 23.20 and placed a stop at 22.90 which was the low of the previous day. The price dropped to 22.54 and my shares were sold. $MIND finished the day at 24.05. Very disappointing. Evey time I place stop orders I get stopped out and see the stock price end higher at he close. Where was my mistake? Thank you

You might try selecting a stock that trades a little thicker. One of my requirements is at least 1 million shares a day. Your $MIND does between 150 and 300 thousand daily average. Illiquid stocks like that can be moved by a high school kid openi ... - Marty: $MIND - Mitcham Industries Inc - Just a nice looking chart. Hitting a new year high today. Looked like an inverse $H & $S starting at the end of July, with a breakout on December 5th - 6th and then testing the July highs with a follow through breakout today. Another competitor, $FTK (Flotek Industries Inc) which is in the same Oil Well Services & Equipment industry. No position - just a spectator.
- trihan: $HLF, Never $MIND 2_1 Split
- Miki: $MIND - nice VSQZ.EXP phase#3
- DaveW2: $MIND - Came across Mitcham Industries which is an Oil & Gas equipment & services company. I think they supply instrumentation. It is currently very near a 52 week high, it has a projected growth rate of ~196%, and is currently in a #squeeze. Obvious downside is that it is fairly thinly traded. Does anyone know anything specific about the company? I wouldn't buy it right now but it looks to me like it could have promise in this crappy market. Maybe next week. Dave
- bb_b: $MIND bouncing off 50MA. Volatility #squeeze.
- unremitting3: INDICATORS hi Line. In all seriousness, if you try to compare Apples to Apples it just isn't gonna work.....I am not trying to be flip here. What I am saying is that you CANNOT compare percentage moves, absolute value moves of Tickers to one another. Don't work no how and it BENDS YOUR $MIND into a 'false reality.' Most $ALL these indicators are looking BACKWARDS in time and in this market, that does not mean a d@#$. You need to be looking at measures of Standard Devation in context of IV and historical Volatility. That way, you CAN readily compare Apple to Oranges. For example, you can compare your company to a sector or you can compare an $ETF to the S&P, you can compare your company to the S&P etc. That way, it's a level playing field.
