- woodman: $RIGL - I preface this by saying that I never heard of this one before this morning. That said, I like this chart and their earnings announcement, which at least at first glance, appears positive. And they have cash to fund operations into 2015, so I'd think no dilutive measures are necessary in the short term. Perhaps our resident Biotech Queen can provide her opinion to the extent that she follows this one. I took a stab this morning. - futurepants: $RIGL - biotech: Hi all. This stock was recently brought to my attention and when I took a look at the chart, it's put in a beautiful symmetrical triangle over the last 18 months (starting with the highs back in 9/08 and the lows from 3/09). Prices have really worked their way into the corner of the triangle and it sure looks to me like it's very close to breaking one way or another. I personally never *invest* in biotech because it's just too complex for my feeble mind ;) but I'm a sucker for a clean chart/pattern and so I will trade them every once in a while. (INCY has been a real winner for me!) All that said, does anyone out there follow biotech closely enough to share some insight on this one? I'd love to have a fundamental bias for which way $RIGL might break. Thanks! -fp
- CallaLilly: $RIGL - A biotech good, good story stock I mentioned yesterday. Well It's up from my 12.76 entry nicely. I know how good the story is but am just not used to biotech. I have a couple of others that are meant to be longer term and more event driven, kind of a basket - not a lot. Choosing to see how they behave. This is not in the basket - it's just an opportunistic buy and, sigh, I have no idea where to put a stop. Do biotech stops have unique rules or is it pretty much protect your profits? Certainly glad we all sold $LVS yesterday and that's a big lesson. It's so hard to sell a winner and yet it's probably the best idea. Really confused on biotech moves.
- CallaLilly: $RIGL - I settled on a stop at 13.76, 1.00 up from my purchase price. I can adjust it if the market takes it higher and I think that's a nice 24 hour return. If it goes below my stop, I'd be happy to buy much more (really think the product is especially relevant, which counts in biotech world). Don't particularly want to get stopped out in the market but happy to have a profit. So much thinking for 7:15am.

- CallaLilly: $RIGL - It announced some very good results on phase 2b, really good. It had some issues with blood pressure (can be dealt with) and the stock looked like a buy. Ideally, a longer buy because efficacy within the first week is amazing. It's an oral r/ ...
- ASDEAN: Just as an aside, I got into $RIGL early May and made money (with some help from @Bob). After the trade, I put the stock in my Previous Buys Watchlist. I had set up a trendline and was kind of upset when it got back to it in late May then took off without me. Swore I was going to be more diligent but missed the darn thing again this week. Nice catch! Alan
- CallaLilly: db - I devour every word on TheFly and if something rings a bell that might "happen" I'll do a google search for news as well. I do read headlines on RealMoney but only care for @Dan's things (wish he'd add links here, hint hint) and Rev Shark's column, I scan FT.com, NYTimes, Bloomberg and if I have time CNN, Stockmasters, @Jon Ogg's 24/77. (I would prefer NOT to get tossed off here for mentioning these names, please and thank you). I will check in $AMTD to see if I'm running into earnings or some event - sometimes conferences are a good thing because most CEO's and staff puff things up. Oh gross - I'm 3 cents from stopping out on $RIGL - discipline, stiff upper lip. This is $SO hard to watch.

- nimbl: $RIGL been watching and waiting with no easy entry. Got an upgrade by a lower tier broker today. Up on light volume. Will wait and see. Interesting price tgt. Rigel Pharmaceuticals initiated with an Outperform at Rodman & Renshaw Target $33.
- nimbl: $IMAX, $PRXL, $PQ, $RFMD, and $KEG I am still long all these names with $IMAX and $PRXL up on the day; my energy and tech plays down with today's weakness but not stopped out(yet). $RIGL, $AVID, $CSIQ, $FCS, $NOK and $NBR are on my GOT TO WATCH list. Looking to get involved if support levels(20sma,or #200ema's) are reached and held. May have to step up to $RIGL here since it doesnt want me to get in it seems.
- ASDEAN: $RIGL - I started a position a few days ago and am up around 18%. I am going to tighten my stop, especially as it approaches the 200ma. The question I have for the more experienced, is that my Telechart shows a Short Interest Ratio of 19.5 I am not sure if this is something to be concerned with (negatively or positively). - jjblacksheep: Morning all. In all cash now and more hesitant to trade anything long now than I've been in....years I guess. That must be some kind of signal. Here are some quick scans I did of recent strong stocks that have pulled back to some kind of support level but I haven't dug into each one hard yet. $AZN, $NOV, $WLT, $NCTY, $GDP, $STRA, $NUVA, $RIGL, $UNT, $ILMN, TS. Good luck today, I'll be looking for intraday flips moreso than overnight holdings for now.
