I raised stops on the following today as part of my position analysis. $DXCM, $EA, $LEG, $LTXB, $MHLD,$RE, $RDY. All with nice gains and good uptrends. $DXCM has been on a tear. I am a believer in the company because my daughter has type 1 diabetes and loves their CGM (continuous glucose monitor). $MHLD also pays a good dividend. $RE and $RDY are both long term holds for me with very large gains. I tend to be an intermediate to long term trader and like to hold onto my winners. I have a set of rules I follow strictly on dumping losers. Broke my own rules on some gold and oil stocks though and am paying for it.

$ ... - Henry: $TEVA $RDY $MYL @Jim Stack likes your stock. He was on Nightly Business Report on Friday. http://www.nbr.com/videos/video/1828528757001 I think he looked better with a beard. The generic drug business is competitive. $MYL has a much different chart than the other 2. $RDY is coming out of a volatility #squeeze. I have never had a stock in the sector. I struggle with my losers. I've sold more than a few at the exact bottom, and I've held a few that went even lower. I'm tempted to dump them and put the money in a LULU. But I had other moneys and I didn't put it in LULU. Just because you redeploy the money, doesn't mean you won't just throw money at a $DLTR or $PCLN at the top.
- kashmire22: HDB--don't forget $TTM and $RDY, Veronica
- bullmoose: Stocks I have marked for adding to my positions if they all cooperate this morning: BCSI, CML, $ENDP, $KH, $NG, $RDY, $SAM, $SFI, UNP. Check out the charts.
- bullmoose: Sold into strength - I trimmed $AKAM, BEXP, $NG, $SSO early. Set some stops under today's early lows on others like DGP and MOTR. Will most likely trim $TQNT too. Trying to add more CML, but couldn't get enough before it shot up. Also adding more BCSI, $SFI, $RDY and UNP. Losing patience with URBN.
- bullmoose: $TQNT (carling) and some squeezes just getting going - $TQNT came out of the volatility #squeeze back in early September and then again in mid October. You must be Rumplestiltskin. There's no #squeeze now, just continued expansion along the upper bollinger band. There was a little bull flag a week- and-a-half ago. But IMHO, it's way too late to buy now. I just keep raising stops on what I have. If you're looking for a nice #squeeze expansion that's just getting started, there are quite a few. Check out: BCSI, CML (wait for a pullback), $ENDP, $NG, $OII, $RDY, $RFMD, $SAM, $SFI, $UNP and UPS. I'm in all of these except $RFMD and $UPS as of now. I hope to add the latter two soon.

I did add $RDY this morning because it's in a different sector I don't have much exposure to (medical). I've had good success with this stock. I'm also looking to add to my $ENDP position when it hits where the 20-day and 50-day look to be convergin ... -
bullmoose: $RDY (@kashmire22) - I love RDY. I used to own it, got out with a decent profit back in June, but failed to track it when it busted out of its #squeeze in August. I should have bought it when it consolidated right after that #squeeze.
Now it's ha ... - bullmoose: $MDT - You're welcome. I posted it last week as one to watch. I'm not getting overly excited because it has quite a bit of resistance to chew through, at the downtrend line (maybe around 35) and at former support in the area of 35.5-36.7. But a tight #squeeze like this could power it through. Plus it adds a little diversification to the portfolio. Stocks like $HUM, $UNH and $WLP have already run a little. My favorite in the health space has been $RDY, but I wouldn't buy it now. Another one that's not at a good buy point but has a nice chart is ENDP. MHS looks ready to pop. So does HOLX. $MDRX is in a nice sustainably not too-steep-uptrend. $TEVA is basing. $DGX is nudging the upper bollinger band. But of them all, $MDT has just popped. So I'll play it and keep an eye on the others.
- bullmoose: $RDY - Another old favorite of mine has just popped off the 20-day today, but I caught it too late and now it's at the upper range of the weekly channel. May go up a bit more from here but I'm waiting for a pullback to the 31-31.5 area.
- Miki: $RDY - entering a nice tight VSQZ ready to pop
- bullmoose: $RDY # I've brought this one up several times before. I hope others got in. It's been doing quite nicely, continues to ride the weekly upper bollinger band and is forming a nice cup on the daily chart while the bollinger bands begin to tighten. I'd like to see volume pick up a little as it climbs. 30.25 marks current support so it's not too late to add. A pullback to around 29.5 would be an even better buy point to add more. Of course, nothing's a safe buy in this environment.
- bullmoose: @getjdb # Maybe you're losing money because of your strategy. Buying stocks in the penalty box like $BP is much riskier than buying stocks in the winner's circle like $AAPL, $AKAM, $FFIV and $RDY that have been working just fine, stocks where pullbacks have been buying opportunities not falling knives. At some point $BP could be a good buy, but I would rather wait until it establishes a higher high and a higher low. It hasn't done that since March.
- bullmoose: $RDY # Not quite the best time to buy as it has really popped over the past two days, but keep an eye out for a pullback to trend support on this one, something like we had (and I missed) Monday morning or even yesterday at the open.
- traderjoe: $RDY Bought this while back and looks to my eye to be starting "money maker." Am I missing something?
- bullmoose: $RDY # Expanding from a not particularly tight volatility #squeeze on the daily, but also from the 20-week moving average. I'm monitoring for a pullback to 28-28.5 to enter this upwardly mobile stock. All daily and weekly moving averages are pointing higher and the 20-day is about to cross back over the 50-day.
- Mercerbill: $RDY .. Anyone watching this? Stopped out today on half of holdings with a nice profit.
- milt: $RDY - I own a small position. Dr. Reddys Lab. is a generic drug maker based in India. they missed big on their last report, but kept their yearly guidance. Chart is starting to setup as the 20 DMA keeps coming down. Large volume today but no real improvement in the chart. By that I mean it is not breaking out today even with volume looking over twice average. Just another stock for the radar that should still do good business in a recession. Maybe some day it will start a move like $TEVA and I'll be able to catch it.
- milt: Recession plays? From my stock screens the following stocks ended up in the green or were green a good bit of the day and ended closing with little damage today (e.g., XLV): $BCR, $ABT, $PG, $XLV, $GAS, $BAX, $ALXN, $THOR, $ICLR, $LHCG, $SXE (the last two I own), EQ, KFT, $JNJ, ACV Pattern: drugs, consumer goods mostly $RDY, TCL - couple India stocks. $RDY has been a loser for me; its a starter position. TCL - volatile stock, only own 1 share. Its my high speep telecom line play for India.
