- petros06: @trader98 $NR it came up in TD Ameritrade's, 48 Biggest Movers From Friday. BGG was also mentioned, it was down 14%, It's up 5.5 %. It was up over 10% earlier. NP in that one.
- champ: @trader98 $NR --- Need to watch the daily earning reports, see the list, on the open and after the close, for misses, for these type of #CopyCat-sellers. ....for these type of set-ups, for bounce trades, that tun off the low.... or you will never be #ready, for entries. This is the largest week for earnings reports. Just saying....

First thing is (daily chart) Below lower bolininger band within 4 bars I’m currently testing one that also has RSI cross above 30 As a second criteria. It shows NR currently but the problem is the RSI filter can be too slow at the open. I did trade some others today of the scan watch list but not this ticker Thinking of changing the 2nd criteria to simply price > opening print Thoughts welcome. But Champ makes a good point that it is best to already know before the open some trade ideas. Get better entry that way if you can

- richard9f: $FTK Take a look at $NR after reporting today. It may be more similar to $FTK than KEG.
- richard9f: $NR Trying to clear and hold 8. Could start olaying catch-up to $FTK and $TTI on a close above 8.05 on more volume. Could use 7.80 as a tight stop.
- richard9f: $TTI Oil services co, with a focus on drilling well fluids, breaking out to new multi year high on good volume. These cos, which include $FTK and $NR, may get more interest if increased shale fracking gets govt OK. If that happens, there will likely be more restrictions on the handling of waste water, in addition to the chemicals in the drilling fluids themselves, and these cos should be positioned to handle that.
- richard9f: $NR Drilling services including fluids mgmt, like $FTK, for onshore and offshore exploration. Might get a lift from Obama speech, needs volume. Trying to break 8. Weekly chart is the better volatility expansion view.
- jververis: $NR - look a $NR, mentioned a week ago and still above 200d, pull back and moving into phase 3. May pull the trigger today. John
- richard9f: $NR John, like this one too. Looking for a close above 7.75 before getting involved. This may flag/consolidate a bit here too after the vol spike on Fri. It could form a handle on the cup it has formed from 3/7. Good looking weekly chart too.
- richard9f: $USD With more central bank intervention taking place, it sure feels like the currency moves are having an even greater impact on equities now. Looking at $FXE and DXY, you could expect some stability or even reversals here. $FXE is at mid and longer term resistance trendlines, and the opposite for DXY. That may be one of the reason oil-related etfs and other commodities etfs failed to break higher for the week. Looking to @Forexpro to weigh in on this if possible. I still like small of the smaller US focused oil services names such as $NR, $HLX, $KEG, along with $BAS and $RES, but not #rhrn for new buys. Thanks
- richard9f: $FTK Was heavily shorted into its $Q yesterday, so follow-through will be key here. Good conf call. Keep an eye on $NR as well. They had a good $Q in Feb and is in the gap from a bad $Q last Nov. Needs a catalyst like $BHI, $SLB, and $HAL to keep getting bid up.
- richard9f: $OIH Is giving a mixed signal because of the weak performance of the global big cap names - $SLB, $HAL, $NOV, etc., and the smaller US focused cos are doing better - $BAS, $RES, CPX etc. I like the charts of GLBL, $NR, and $KEG but are all difficult buys right now.
- richard9f: $NR Also oil & Gas svcs. Is in the drilling fluids business like FTK. Trying to breakout but resistance is near overhead. Has a nice gap to fill if it can break above 7.70. It seems to have established the #200sma as support. The weekly chart is the better view.
- Zatodeb: $NR -- sm cap $O & G Servs up strongly from vol sqz after 4-mo basing pattern. Closed strongly above 200 dma for the first time since late October, love the fundies and the 8% short position. Define your risk with a stop in the 6.95 range. $Z
- jververis: $NR - looking over the movers today. $NR has a long base, just over 200d and into phase 3 with 7% move today. No position as yet. John
- Rudolfs: aapl - there is nothing going on except we wait for Verizon preorder $NR / MacWorld is irrelevant since $AAPL does not directly participate
- Russ: SLE Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee. Here are some that have held up fairly well to so-so in the carnage. Not recommendations, but might be worth watching. But I don't know how such charts perform when the S&P snaps back from a violent correction. Maybe @Dan will have a comment. In any case, I'll watch and learn.
