Now sitting on the 200d looking for support. 12:10 PM EDT, August 27, 2025 (Benzinga Newswire) Grizzly Research is shorting electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer Archer Aviation Inc. as the firm believes competitor Joby Aviation Inc. $JOBY is a better bet in the eVTOL space. What To Know: Grizzly Research on Wednesday issued a bearish report on Archer Aviation, calling the company “the Nikola of the skies.” The short seller argued Archer has built a strong reputation in the eVTOL space through misleading projections and press releases, which it believes is reminiscent of what Nikola did a few years ago.

  • kenb: $JOBY $BLDE potential merger. Have a size position in $JOBY, and a spec position in $BLDE thinking that they would somehow be involved in the eVTOL space. A double plus for me. Also own $ACHR. eVTOL is starting to take off. Joby Aviation (NYSE:JOBY) +3% and Blade Air Mobility (NASDAQ:BLDE) +20% – Shares rallied following reports that electric air taxi pioneer Joby is considering acquiring Blade, a helicopter and seaplane operator. While the deal is not yet finalized, the acquisition would give Joby direct access to Blade’s established urban air routes and infrastructure, particularly in NYC, and strengthen its position in medical logistics. Blade went public via SPAC in 2021 but has yet to report an annual profit.

It looks like they are not the first eVTOL's out there, China has beat them and got approval for the first fully approved eVTOL which is autonomous as well as no pilot is required.
