  • champ: $HIBB is at around $66 and this is an #Athletic Shoe-Retailer.....and the guess is, they could easily move-up before they report their next earnings on 3/1, if the Retail-News-flow remains positive. ....They have around a total of 1140 Retail stores locations and they #only-specialize in #Athletic fashion footwear, which can be very expensive. ....This Retailer could maybe even have some-type of a move like they had in 2021, in the next 3-months, if everything in the high end Athletic footwear space falls into place, as long as they #have or can get all the inventory that they would need, for all of their store locations....because their sales can't work without inventory. ~~~~Watch for Entry........... .

  • champ: Watch this Retailer......$HIBB @ $58.50..Hibbett Sport Stores, this is an #Athletic-Shoe-Retailer that sells #all of the Name brands athletic sport shoes, with 1100 retail store locations, ....900 Hibbett locations, 179 City Gear stores and 17 Sport Additions athletic shore stores.... plus they also sell through #Online channels. ~~~ They sell all the Athletic footwear and fashion Sports #apparel, can't go anywhere without seeing their customers wearing these items, especially at all the Sporting-events, large and small, even at all the local sporting events. ....Going into earnings on 8/25 and I have a nice size position. . I have been in this stock many times and this stock has a forum posting trail. ........Check-Out their #Website, to see all that they sell.........   • Pokersmith: Hibbett Sports reported Friday fiscal Q4 earnings of $1.25 per share compared with $1.39 a year ago. The company said there were no adjustments during the period. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.25 in GAAP EPS. According to Hibbett($HIBB), net sales for the quarter ended Jan. 20, 2022, were $383.3 million, up from $376.8 million a year ago. Capital IQ-surveyed analysts estimated $383.9 million in revenue. For fiscal 2023, the company said it expects net sales to be "relatively flat" and pegged EPS at $9.75 to $10.50. Capital expenditures are forecast to be in the range of $60 million to $70 million with a focus on new store growth, remodels and additional technology and infrastructure investments np

The News today is that they are opening another store in Grand Prairie, TX ..thats between Dallas and Fort Worth, they have over 1,000 locations. ....They will be reporting earnings on 11/19...but that date is unconfirmed, however when they do confirmed that date, that will officially start an earnings move...and that Set-up is Pending, however its OK to be early, as long as the Retail sector is Happy. I'm still holding my position....into that set-up.

HIBB- Up 100% ytd $DKS Up 144.66% ytd Nike Up 21.93% year to date Short interest HIBB 20.7 $DKS 12.7 NKE .8% MISSES IN 12 QUARTERS HIBB 2 $DKS 1 NKE 3 INSTITUTIONAL INVESTMENT 103% HIBB $DKS 106% NKE 80 it doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to three conclusions: You get the worst return in Nike and you take the most risk-Fewer institutional investors 3 missed earnings and a paltry 21% return Both Hibbett and Dicks have good returns--Dicks is a skosh better Both have short interest of more than 10 per cent but $DKS has better returns by far and $DKS has missed 1 return only in 3 years while HIBB has missed 2

My plan, if things go according to it, is to ride $DKS into earnings andk make a call at that point as to holding over earnings. Almost 3 weeks to get there, so lots of opportunity to move higher in the interim. Np HIBB or NKE.

What a moron i was to let the homework go to waste: Hibbett Inc : Benchmark raises price target to $125 * Hibbett Inc : Monness Crespi Hardt raises price target to $120 from $97 i joke all the time with skittish folks and found that, against everything i know and learned, i did that. Not a hypocrit just a moron not to have made some casserole and allowed $HIBB to prove its worth to the folks that have even more time than i do to do the homework and analyze rates of returns. Not that $DKS is bad; the poijnt is that i could have given $HIBB more room and i didn't. LONG.
  • woodman: @debeers $HIBB $DKS - Both have been great performers and one would be quite happy having held either. Since the March 2020 crash, HIBB has been the better overall performer. Since the lows of November 2020, however, DKS has been the better performer. One need not necessarily be perfect to do well.
