- kenb: $NVDA $INTC Now here's an announcement better than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey getting engaged. And of course, $AMD is crashing. Good and bad for me since I have large positions in $AMD and $NVDA. Nvidia will inject $5 billion into Intel as part of a collaboration between the tech giants to jointly develop custom data-center and personal-computing products. Nvidia will buy Intel stock at a purchase price of $23.28 a share. Shares of Intel shot up nearly 31% in premarket trading to $24.90 Thursday. Nvidia shares rose 2.7% to $174.86. Intel will build Nvidia -custom x86 CPUs that Nvidia will integrate into its AI infrastructure platforms and will also build chip systems to be used in Nvidia chiplets that power PCs.

Now that I've had my caffeine, I went back and found out the news feed did a correction as well. I don't hold $INTC either since it's been down in the dumps for so long. Now with US gov't backing and this news, this American institution is coming back to life because of their chip foundry experience in and bringing manufacturing back to America. Both $NVDA and $AMD are fabless.

I held it, why sell it when it was at $20? This was a tiny amount any way. I could hold it until the grandkids would get it when I die. WHOA up 30 % this am. Let it ride. NVDA invests billions in INTC. Is the US govt still going to fund INTC too? Obviously NVDA is doing this because of INTC's foundry. Great more money for INTC to buy the lastest gear from $ASML.

And with the innovation cadence Jensen presented, with a new GPU every year, even successful copying of the 1.5 ton server rack puts them several years behind. If it was so easy, $AMD would do it and they're not.
