Are you a day trader, swing trader or trend trader. I personally like trends and do well with those. This current market doesn't play to that with all the volatility ( I thought I posted to you something similiar but I don't see it. Sorry if this is a repeat.)

$COUP -- forming a base at 200-day MA. Low volume is a good thing ... - Bwhitman: @dan Should we pull out of $ZTO ? sounded like it was a dud last night.
- DAN: @Bwhitman $ZTO It was a dud because of how it closed. But if you own it, make sure you have some kind of risk management. It's still holding above the 50-day MA, but it's been so volatile that even as the trend has been maintained, the stock has undercut the 50-day moving average more than 10 times this year before recovering. So having a stop just beneath the 50-day moving average is not really likely to work. You're more likely to get stopped out. So your best approach to any kind of position now is to reduce the size of the position. If you're long, I wouldn't sell. It's up this morning and is still within the trend. But I do urge caution in any trade right now. This is a dangerous environment. We're all swimming with sharks...and they're pretty hungry. Don't be chum. 8-) Dan

- DAN: @Bwhitman $ZTO OK. But this would be my suggestion. If you're closing it, fine. But track it. Watch and see how the trade would have worked out had you held it. Again, the trend is still intact and it's probably going higher. BUT...a tightfisted trader is probably gonna have trouble with this. A more loose fisted trend trader would be ok with it. It totally depends on what each trader is comfortable with. Dan
