$SM versus $MTDR To me, the tell was the difference in insti support and very low short interest. Oh, did i mention that a really smart person pointed ou to me that the $SM chart was better? No? Well, duh, it is. So $SM it is.
Unless something is t ... - debeers: $MTDR-i only buy these shaes when the ceo does. On 8/23 Joe Foran the CEO PURCHASED 1,174,922 shares and also purchased another 1,256,488 shares on the same filing. It is axiomatic that CEOS sell for many reasons but they only buy for 1: they think their shares are undervalued. Remember Matador does both nat gas and oil and the current administration has been hostile to the petroleum industry so much so that our own reserves are dangerously depleted IMO. There is no political statement here but i vote with Foran in the cycles he does and the n umber of times i've been disappointed is-----never.LONG
- debeers: $NVDA- climbing to 600 min imo. $MTDR- compares: $CVX up .37%, $HAL up .85%, $SLB up .81% $MTDR up- 1.38% and yes, with Saudis having only oil and Putin the only other source you do need some energy in the portfolio. Also, a check of the Almanac shows that the nuts are already falling and this bodes for an early winter, and an early frost.
