- debeers: @Margi1983 $BOOT =@Margi- there is nothing not to like about the management---that having been said, i think there are better places than apparel to park dough right now- $AMAT/ $BA/$BOX/$CRK/$CRM/$MSFT. if we catch a break and the Fed goes to 50bps, it will be tech and industrials that have the best moonshot IMO.

His Dad was literally weeping in the stands at his kid's performance. His team rallied around him--they are a very proterctive bunch. I was happy for him.
- debeers: $CRK-Originally a gift from a stock whisperer, i wanted to find out what Jerry Jones is doing with his shares. here's what i found: According to Comstock's latest proxy, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones owns 182.3 million shares, including common and convertible preferred stock, a 66% stake. Would this guy be a person i'd like to have lunch with? NO. Would it be someone i think has street cred when it comes to energy stocks? YES. Apparently Market Smith gives it high marks for Relative Strength as well as for Accumulation.

The Company primarily operates in the Haynesville shale, a natural gas basin located in North Louisiana and East Texas, with economic and geographical proximity to the Gulf Coast markets. The Company is focused on the development of drilling opportunities in the Haynesville and Bossier shales. The Company has approximately 2,000 drilling locations on its Haynesville/Bossier shale acreage, where the Company estimates to have approximately 19 trillion cubic feet equivalent (TCFE) of reserve potential. The Company owns an interest in approximately 2,557 producing oil and natural gas wells (1,459.6 net) and it operates approximately 1,575 of these wells. Its subsidiaries include Comstock Oil & Gas, LLC and Covey Park Employment Management Services, LLC.: SHORT FORM; IN MY OPINION: San Francisco, California won't make you any money but Frisco, Texas will.

Oil names that are working: $XOP, $SLB, $HAL, $CRK, $SM, $WLL coming out of a V.S., $OXY buy the pullback. [Many of us are on the watch to see if $PSX becomes a short on Monday, or if it finds support right below the 50 sma, as it has in the past, ... - Dave: Some stocks that are working: HEK, $DTLK, $ERF, $STON, $TSO, $LNG, $AXTI, $DECK, $AAPL, $NSR, $ROC, $CRK, $TLT, $CLNE, $ESV, $LYB, $REE, $MCP, WG. A couple of themes that I see - energy names, clean fuels, and rare earths. Thanks to those posters who have pointed out some of these, also. Other stock suggestions for this list are welcome. This is not to say that "all's fine in the water, jump in" because several of the major indices are sick and up to 80% - 85% of all stocks will follow the prevailing market trend. But these stocks are holding up relatively well, at a minimum, in a very uncertain market.

- fiddler50: PCX- My alligator arms got a little longer in the pass few days, purchased starter positions in PCX, $CAT, $OINK, BCSI, BORN. Long on $NE, $BP, WIN. Canadian stocks: $RY, LIM, LUN and my favorite is $CRK (Crocodile Gold), this stock is going to $3.00 soon..
- eleKtra: $CRK Another in the energy space, breaking out of a bit of a #squeeze. Good volume. Nice weekly chart too. Bought a starter w/ a stop @ $22.5.
- orthodoc: Which Oil Companies are Hedged...and Which Ones Aren't: There's an article from energy analyst: $CRK, $APA, $BDE, and XCE are not hedged and suffer with gulf exposure to hurricanes; $APC, $EOG and $DVN are hedged and little gulf exposure. FTO and $HES could be squeezed to 70% production if shut in. Agri-Chemicals like $MON, $ADM and $SYT hurt from port damage. $OII, GLBL and $CX profited from hurricanes. Looking back to August, 2005: XTO and others rose 25-40% in a short time. $CX rose 20%+ in 3 days after land fall. Does history repeat? Safe bet for $GAS and GLBL,etc? Added to my positions and added Global Industries (GLBL).
