  • joelsg1: @traderbren $ON $AEHR riding coattails of its largest customer.
  • Cjauger: 2 ticker that looked promising at some point this morning $AEHR, $META, have pulled back. Seating on my hands working well
  • billyzeke: @Cjauger $AEHR $META $AMD stormed out of the gate and I thought it might make a little pre-earnings move...had to sell it within 15 minutes. lol
  • champ: @Cjauger $AEHR ....however $META has been a real zigzagger, a real pain, however traders are Waiting for a Move...and they keep playing that game ...In and Out, over and over and they really want to be In, when it finally moves....and the timing will happen...but we just don't know when......and they are currently following that bouncing-ball on Top-of-the $QQQ.....
  • lance1161: $AEHR Traded a couple times yesterday, held overnight, pick up a little more on today's dip and sold at $20.84
  • Wolf: $AEHR Semiconductor testing systems company. Beat EPS by 800%, Rev almost doubled, and good guidance. Up as much as 10% PM. Has been riding the upper BB for prior 5 days. Needless to say, very volatile.
  • Wolf: $AEHR upgraded by Craig Hallum (never heard of him) from hold to buy. PT from 12>25. Small cap with 1.1M 90 day avg volume. No position.
  • lance1161: $AEHR Took profits
  • lance1161: $AEHR Jumped back in again at $19.80 after things settled down - have a trailer on
  • lance1161: @lance1161 $AEHR Trailer was tight I'm out for now
  • joelsg1: @lance1161 $AEHR Shorts need to cover but small float, has legs.
  • lance1161: $AEHR Took a starter below VWAP - still early in the day, no hurry
  • sgiseller: @Wolf $AEHR easy to upgrade on a 25% pop
  • joelsg1: $AEHR HOD, up 2.5X implied move following turnaround E, vol. so far 10.1M shares with only 29M out, anatomy of a short squeeze. Added back shares ah yesterday.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Beat big and raise, announced new orders and buying burn-in tester for high powered semis, a trifecta. 20% short, could get interesting tomorrow.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Thanks, I took a starter on the pre-announcement last week. Shot up right up into 200 day above.
  • kenb: @joelsg1 $AEHR stopping right below the 200d MVA level. Was holding a small position in and finally sold in May so just watching for now. Not sure if this small-cap stock rally can continue at this breakneck speed, and being cautious in new positions. At least the small-cap stocks I do own are riding the wave up.
  • joelsg1: @kenb $AEHR "Nothing good happens below the 200d", but it's right there ah.
  • lance1161: @joelsg1 $AEHR Interests me for a trade - based on today's news so bought some for the morning
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $TMDX Thanks for heads up. BTW...I think $AEHR back in the news.
  • joelsg1: @Motorman $TMDX $AEHR Yep, they preannounced yesterday after close, I had been trimming remnants, chart terrible.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $TMDX $AEHR Yeah, that was a trade that went against me too.
  • DrScience: $AEHR getting a 15% AH boost on release of preliminary results. The Company doesn't report officially until Tuesday, the 16th AMC. I don't know if the company will return to last year's glory, but a pullback buy and a buyout just might be what the do ...
  • woodman: #SemiconductorEquipment - $CAMT enjoying a nice ride. See also $ACLS $VECO $NVMI $KLAC $TER Others are in a base after pullbacks but could play catch up, or are moving back up after pullbacks: See $AEHR $AMCR $UCTT (emerging out of high consolidation / inverse H&S-ish pattern) $LRCX & $AMAT (like UCTT but more advance on their move up)
  • Zimzala: $ACN $DRI $FIVE Watch for 3-day rule. $AEHR $MASI for a #59minutetrade.
  • Motorman: $AEHR Firming up at 200 Week.
  • kenb: @Motorman $AEHR and the daily 21d, hopefully found support and starting to move a little back up. I think this is tied to EV's which have not been doing well.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR More follow-on orders, stock rises.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Continuing, up 25% in a week.
  • kenb: @joelsg1 $AEHR me like. Finally getting some traction off the lows.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Way below all the averages, but bouncing.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Wow, some light at end of tunnel. ;) Holding. my position. maybe they will do something AI related in battery testing!
  • Margi1983: @Motorman $AEHR This a company with a smallish $81 million in revenue but a market cap of $443 million. They are semiconductor testing company with 104 employees. But they are very profitable with great growth in sales and earnings. I think it is worth a speculative starter. Battery testing also called Formation is a very competitive business
  • Motorman: @Margi1983 $AEHR Thanks for info. I sold some last December for tax losses. held the rest as it approached 200 week. Dipped below and bounced. With EV stocks in dump, not sure what's in store for this one.
  • joelsg1: @Margi1983 $AEHR They have a monopoly on 'burn-in' tests using the razor/blade model, extremely useful and economic for high-value mission critical components. Love the CEO who is extremely knowledgeable about his markets. Long from way below, sold a ton of calls at $40.
  • Lou: Took my lumps this morning on a quick elevator ride down with $AEHR. Should have figured that I'm not cut out to invest in in this space.
  • vitoB: @Lou $AEHR ...not your fault... this was overhyped by many on how the company would fit in the EV story, and what their actual business revenues on their products would be. these are single time capex items ...took a year but still a meme stock imo...not sure if its a great short or becoming a buyout candidate. no debt but dont think i could resist a failed test back up to the 50d ..it was agreat 59er and could be again tommorrow,
  • Lou: @vitoB $AEHR - thanks. It is my fault in that I have little confidence in the EV space for the foreseeable future. As I see it, consumers are catching on to the fact that resale values suck, cost of repairs are much higher and, for the industry, the manufacturers will have to survive with lesser, if any, government subsidies. Not a space in which I have confidence. I have no idea as to why I bought it pre-earnings, but I'm thankfully out with minor damage.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR E tonight. Big winner last 18 months but peaked last August at $54 and promptly fell 60% to $22 where it triple bottomed. Implied move about $5.60 which is 25% of share price. Almost 20% short, only 28.8M shares out and institutions own more than half. I've been in this since I think around $14, took profits and used LT options for stock replacement along the way. Really like the CEO, who will remind the market and shorts of increasing TAM, consensus 19 cents. Watch for a potential short squeeze. Long.
  • kenb: @joelsg1 $AEHR holding a small position, and will hold through earnings. It's having a good day today in anticipation of earnings, but I'm a little disappointed that it hasn't participated in the tech run-up since Nov. In fact it has gone down the whole time. Definitely not one of the winners so far and maybe time for a rebound. Good luck to us.
  • Lou: @kenb $AEHR - I'm still holding a relatively small position as well. Slightly in the green.
  • joelsg1: @kenb $AEHR It fell off the cliff with the EV makers on the narrative that was their growth market. Those will recover at some point, but their testing solutions encompass much more, which the CEO will talk up tonight. Maybe too rational for an ape induced short squeeze, but going higher. Of course, this is a risky call as it is below the 200d "where nothing good happens" :)
  • champ: @joelsg1 $AEHR ...at $22..50 falling back off of HOD, $23.09 and this stock could have a nice bounce before the close, #if both employees and insiders believe that they are going to beat their consensus numbers...... ....and on 10/5, their last earnings report Investors wanted better guidance..... ....and on 7/13 they had nice guidance on that earnings report. I'm holding a small position and I might swing, if the stock tells me to swing. LOL
  • Onthemark: @champ $AHER We know you meant $AEHR. :)
  • Lou: @Onthemark $AHER $AEHR - getting shellacked after initial reaction to earnings.
  • Onthemark: @Lou $AHER $AEHR Glad I stayed clear!
  • champ: @Onthemark $AHER $AEHR...The market was right-on, going into the close and that forced me out, however I'm happy that I only held 20 shares........
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Strong Q reported but conservative guide for 25% rev drop off prior guide for current fiscal year more than half over. AH drop FWIW. https://www.accesswire.com/823291/aehr-reports-strong-revenue-and-earnings-growth-for-the-second-quarter-and-first-six-months-of-fiscal-2024
  • champ: @joelsg1 $AEHR....most of the time it is always about #guidance....
  • Motorman: $AEHR 1 year round trip, Jan 5 2023, $17 now $18 🤯. POS. My bad poor risk management.
  • champ: @Motorman $AEHR....Yes risk management is always in play....and the first Rule of Thumb is, we shouldn't hold stocks into their earnings reports....unless we want to gamble, with small risk, small $$$$'s. However I have broke that Rule many times before......
  • Motorman: @champ $AEHR Yup, too many times, wiped out HUGE amount in 2022. Hard to put stops on these big movers, but should have protected profits back in summer time, looks like 200 week is in play.
  • marklesparkle: @champ $AEHR You broke the rules. I say good job at least sometimes we have to break a rule or 2
  • joelsg1: $CELH Slingshot move above 50d continuing, after 4 months of selling/consolidation into year end. Btw, $AEHR E confirmed 1/9. Long both, though trimmed calls in both last week.
  • joelsg1: @joelsg1 $CELH $AEHR And reports $CELH launches in Canada this month retail, Amazon and Costco. @Scottrades give it a try as coffee alternative, now each can equivalent to about 2 cups of coffee.
  • scottrades: @joelsg1 $CELH $AEHR Oh cool! I've been wanting to try it but the import fees were a little crazy. I'll look for it. Any flavor recommendations?
  • joelsg1: @scottrades $CELH $AEHR For me, the Vibe flavors are too sweet, but like the regular fruit like Orange, Watermelon, Lemon/lime, but start sipping because the caffeine level is high. They should introduce a 1/2 caffeine , but not yet.
  • vitoB: @joelsg1 $CELH $AEHR I'm actually a fan of the peach vibe.
  • Geewhiz: @joelsg1 $CELH $AEHR @scott needs caffeine????????
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Trimming along with tax loss selling, E 1/4.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Good idea, I am holding with a loss, maybe a good idea to trim some.
  • joelsg1: @Motorman $AEHR I posted yesterday and reviewed and sold almost all my losers to take the needed tax loss, seems others doing the same. Never a bad idea at year end. Even if we get a quick bounce back in Jan. which I doubt, still ways to buy back and avoid the wash-sale rule using slightly different securities which behave the same, like etfs and options. In fact, I've got lots of calls way below to cover any E-inspired breakouts on this one, which I can exercise if need be.
  • RD: $AEHR Finding support at the 50dma. Could be setting up for a move higher.
  • Motorman: $AEHR through the 50 day. Closed gap from October.
  • Motorman: $AEHR Looks like it will hold the 50 day off the news of first order for new testing system.
  • joelsg1: @Motorman $AEHR Yes, first order for a gallium nitride power system, all the others were for silicon carbide devices, so a big deal catering to a larger market. Even larger potential market for solar panels.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Thanks, It was stuck in the range for sooo long, was getting tired looking at it. Glad I held.
  • woodman: $AEHR - I entered this one today on this move out of the base, through the 8dEMA. Last week, I mentioned that this one has been punished since reporting (in early October), but that it was forming a base at a multi-bottom level (March/April/Oct-Nov) and that it was worth watching. Today is its first real/sustained move above the 8dEMA since the end of September.
  • bill52: @woodman $AEHR Nice call. I've been building a moderate position in this after the ER beat down, and added some today as well. There is a significant short interest in this of 24.6% according to Finviz as of today. If this move today is sustained, the shorts will be in real pain and think it could get interesting. (At least that's the plan and hope.)
  • woodman: $AEHR has gotten stronger and stronger virtually all day, accelerating into the close.
  • woodman: @bill52 $AEHR - good point about the short interest.
  • woodman: $AEHR didn't report well and has been punished, but is trying to base at a multi-bottom - March/April/Oct-Nov. Worth watching, I think. Np currently.
  • phgruver: @sgiseller $ON $AEHR The excuse I've seen is that, while $ON reported a decent quarter, based on expectations, it was less than last year's sales and earnings. Further, they offered weak guidance for next quarter.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Tracking its biggest SiC customer down on its weak Q4 guide, $ON whose CEO said on CNBC just a Q4 inventory issue, for now, but LT story intact and therefore nothing about reducing capex.
  • sgiseller: $ON $AEHR What in the world happened to the SEMI's today
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 Thanks for follow up on $AEHR. Holding with a small profit.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $CRWD $GPCR Good to see you back. Holding a $GPCR. Sold some when pulled back from 60 area. Glad I held some. $AEHR thoughts?
  • joelsg1: @Motorman $CRWD $GPCR $AEHR The hot money blew out the candle on this one after they merely affirmed but didn't raise guidance on last E 10/5. Next E 1/4. The EV market has been perceived to be slowing a bit (for the moment) but they are in other markets as well. I'm in from way below, rolled up/out all my short covered calls and expect to exercise many itm calls later this year in the teens. Watching $35-36 level to add confidently as that is the line connecting lows since 9/22, including this past June's low. Hope that helps.
  • Zimzala: $AEHR Trying some at $35.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Rolled all itm covered short calls to otm for tiny credits.
  • joelsg1: $AEHR 200d holding, was support 6 months ago for ensuing 130% upward move. Long and taking off short covered otm calls.
  • woodman: @joelsg1 $AEHR - And a thus-far successful test of 6/26 low of the range since June. I took a small entry.
  • joelsg1: @woodman $AEHR Think it hangs around here until the next upward market move, which I expect to start this week or next per L Williams. Btw, this one is so thin don’t think the normal rules apply fully. Been in since $14 with lots of long itm and short otm calls, fine with adding in the hopefully lower 30s. Also watch its largest customer $ON for perhaps a pre Breakout signal.
  • woodman: @joelsg1 $AEHR $ON - Thank you.
  • Motorman: $AEHR Nice bounce off 200d and 50w after ER.
  • shoredriver: $AEHR.....thing of beauty....np...
  • joelsg1: @shoredriver $AEHR The 'hot money' has left the building, though the E and call were positive and growth on track. I brought this here at $14 so have a triple (now 2.5x) with more to come, but it's a future story that is not rewarded today, and so thinly covered that there are few analysts to upgrade. Three day Rule in effect, but 200d looks like a floor. As the CEO said on the call, "stay tuned".
  • wijimmy: @joelsg1 $AEHR@joelsg1 $AEHR.....@joelsg1. .. So this headline sounds Good ..What was said during the call ? .. Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) reported late Thursday fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.18 per diluted share, up from $0.05 a year earlier. Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.16. Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 31 was $20.6 million, up from $10.7 million a year earlier. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $19.3 million. For fiscal 2024, the company continues to expect revenue of at least $100 million, while two analysts polled by Capital IQ are looking for $102.9 million.
  • joelsg1: @wijimmy $AEHR You can (and should) read the transcript, but basically the reported Q is seasonally their weakest, they have only 6 customers now, 1 accounts for over 80% of revs, but broad interest will result in more in near future, and their business has improved such that they will recognize revs immediately upon shipping, change from before. EVs and inverters will get stronger into '24-25 for silicon carbide testing but broadening now into gallium for lower power uses and also photonics which are big in data centers. Sufficient cash thanks to stock offering earlier this year, no debt.
  • wijimmy: @joelsg1 $AEHR..THX...for fast reply NP just seen the big drop.. I'm focused on $PDD looking strong and $Cryptoland went green so peaking at that RHRN
  • sgiseller: $AEHR Small starter stock position, looking for bounce of 17% decline off of strong earnings, still have some put options, closed calls for nice profit
  • camaro69: $AEHR nearing its opening price. small
  • sgiseller: @sgiseller $AEHR and I'm out with a 5.76% gain, no need to be greedy
  • Docoof: @sgiseller $AEHR Nice! (Watched, but np)
  • joelsg1: $AEHR Bought the dip. E tonight, est. $0.16 whisper 0.20, implied move $7.65.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Any hedge? I see Oct 20 40 put at 2.20. Have a nice gain on stock position. thanks
  • joelsg1: @Motorman $AEHR No puts, but lots of short otm calls covering all investment shares.
  • Motorman: @joelsg1 $AEHR Thanks
  • sgiseller: @joelsg1 $AEHR I went with some options, selling the nov 30-70 strangle for a premium of $1.38
  • Motorman: @sgiseller $AEHR Thanks, can you post the legs here or on OMM if you prefer?
