My other favorite scan which has produced a few winners is the crossing the 8ema and PSAR flipping to positive. On that one, we see $BBBY $TE and $HBI $HBI might be interesting. If you flip over to the weekly, that's a decent looking chart. Needs to hold the 20 week avg though.

The Dow has posted small double-digit losses in two of the past three sessions, but befo ... - dunsek: PCX, $NWL, TE- I managed to lock myself out of SMM earlier today so didn't get a chance to pop into the forum until now. That was a very healthy day, with a great move in PCX, very nice move in $NWL and $TE, one of my faves from the weekend scan, did ok as well. I'm thinking $TE may be less a utilities safe haven and maybe more a coal mining play via TECO Coal Corp, which they own. Either way, I liked it today and i'll be watching my little starter position and looking to add. As for PCX, wow, loving the coal sector still. 18.36 (the 200 week) may be a tough row to hoe, but I think I'll be looking to add on another move past 17.75- the mid point of the W. Oh, and thanks @Gary, for the unlock :)
- dunsek: Rotation to safety? Just ran my weekend scan and the ones that stood out are really interesting. I found 12 that I like, and of those 6 are utilities: $SRE, $FE, AYE, $TE, $EXC, $PNW, 3 are food: $CPB, $PEP, $HSY 2 Consumer: $PG, $KMB One Defense: $LMT These are all stocks which outperformed the S+P this past week, are all in volatility squeezes/expanding out of them and all look good on either a 13/24 cross basis, @ichimoku, or both.
- asilva1029: Market recap was very helpful. Although, I'm personally discounting today's grave stone #doji since we aren't in an established bull trend. The way I(i.e. me, myself and I) read today's candle is that bulls took the ball for a run and the bears beat'em back but not all the way back! - dunsek: JRCC/MEE/ICO- did anyone see the rating on $JRCC yesterday? I missed it. Not long $JRCC but I'm long ICO. The upgrade was from Dahlman Rose, who initiated coverage with a buy citing attractive contracts and improving liquidity, and suggesting that the coal producer is a logical takeover target for potential consolidators in Central Appalachia. The company's assets are near or adjacent to a number of larger players in the region, including MEE, $ANR, ICO and $TE according to the story on Reuters. Would be nice to see some central Appalachian consolidation!
