  • CKM8888: @Dan Newbie here, just working my way through the #FastTrackOrientation videos. I just finished some homework creating a watchlist using a #MovingAverageMatrix covered in Video 17. This is definitely not in my wheelhouse so I’m practicing while I learn. Here’s the short list of stocks that looked interesting based on my understanding of the material. I’m curious to know if I’m getting it – would these have made your watch list based on the criteria in that video? $CHKP, $UAA (but they report ER Tues BMO), $TCBI, $VEEV, $ZUO, $IPGP, $PFPT Thanks!
  • DAN: @CKM8888 $CHKP $UAA $TCBI $VEEV $ZUO $IPGP $PFPT #FastTrackOrientation #MovingAverageMatrix Welcome, CKM8888. Happy to have you here. You're on the right track. Here are my thoughts:

  • issues: @issues $GILD My advice to myself; Sell the dog called $GILD and bury it. It's long overdue. It's beginning to smell bad. IBD this week 11 new additions: $BABA $BC $CAVM $EWBC $LOGM $LRCX $MRCY $MTCH $QRVO $TCBI $ULTA taken off the list are: $ASB $CPE $CRTO $GNTX $MBFI $MIDD $PACW $TTC $UAL $WNC $ZBRA If you look at the charts of the ones taken off, I don't see that much difference from ones they added. I wonder if they just play games with us and switch them around or if they really have a way to compute price/volume/upgrades or just throw a dart. Anyone work for IBD could intelligently answer this problem. Why would they take $WNC off? Why would they add $LOGM? It should be the other way around. Add WNC and take off LOGM! Or $UAL chart looks like $EWBC or $QRVO
  • issues: @Kid2old $MSCC Ouch! That's a good stock that I had on the list to buy. I guess I'll wait. Some of the others ones on my list were: $CARB $EVR $GIMO $GATX $MCHP (was a steady Eddie) $MIDD $MTSI...I had on the list the banks; $TCBI $PLBC $EWBC $EBMT but instead bought 1/2 position in $XLF

  • Neil375: $TCBI - Texas Capital Bancshares. Nice bounce off the 200. Long.
  • Neil375: LPLA- Hello all. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I did some searching for stocks that look interesting and profitable. Maybe someone could place them in a group or sector? All I can say is they're financial, up-trending and seem to be under accumulation. Here's a list of what I'm looking at: LAPA, $TCBI,FNF, $NRF,BXS,$ISBC,MHFI,$NBCB,NTRS,$SIVB,UMPQ,$WAL and WBS. I'm thinking perhaps this is money rotating into a sector? Wonder how others might view this?

  • Neil375: $TCBI - This stock came to my attention yesterday as I was looking through various ETF's. I think it was once one of IBD's top 50. Fell of my radar. I put this along with $FNF on a list to watch for a better entry. Any body have any thought on these?

  • ccrown4: $TCBI @mharps I mentioned this one several weeks ago. I buy it everytime it pulls back to the 21mda which isn't often. I'm fully allocated on this one. My only current bank holding!
  • ccrown4: $TCBI - I've mentioned this once before. Banking in Texas with only domestic exposure. Held since early June, +27%. Will continue to buy when it pulls back to 21mda.
  • ccrown4: KCG@addy - I wasn't in but saw the NYSE halted trading on several stocks. Not in any financial stocks. I was in $TCBI but sold and looking for a pull back.
  • murfields: 20% STOCKS FOR 2012---Murfield's up-trending list with 20%++ gains and the desired low volatility: $PCYC, $AVD, $ANCX, $MNST, $KORS, $OCN, $COR, $HSTM, $CONN, $GNC, $TJX, $ABCO, $ROST, $TCBI, $DG, $TDG, $FL, $PCLN, $ALXN, $PETM, $MA, $HPY, $WFM, $DLTR, $BIIB, $ULTA and AFSI.
