  • djgustoso: $rgti printing a bearish engulfing bar when basically all of technology is up, very ugly. I think this trade is definitely done, and we see a test of the 21 day this week down at 40. Highly recommend protecting profits on this one if you have not already taken them. I'm still long the Nov $50 puts

  • djgustoso: @woodman $RGTI mainly I'm observing the relative weakness compared to the other names in this space like IREN and CIFR. They're only down a couple of percent, where as this one is down 10%. When high flyers show the momentum is coming out, it comes fast. You might not play it to the downside, but if I were long (which I was), I'm taking profits for sure
  • woodman: @djgustoso $RGTI - Okay. I'm watching the 8dEMA, which it's now testing. Volume looks pretty strong today as it sells off, but it has been strong on recent green days, too. So, around the 8dEMA will be my barometer.

When I get the scaries and feel the urge to jump out of the plane, especially when I feel like I may be playing it too tight or my position is just too big to think clearly, etc., I will often sell part (the exact portion is in the eye of the beholder) rather than all. I want to stay in the game if it may rebound and I'm playing it too tight because my emotions are driving my actions. And that's what may be my play here. But I haven't sold any yet.
  • phgruver: @djgustoso $RGTI I bailed out of the last of my position in $RGTI yesterday, for a small profit (over all, a very nice gain). Plain and simple, I didn't like the price action. In candlestick terms, it was setting up a "Hanging man", which is usually a bearish reversal. Today's candlestick is critical for completing the pattern, but as of right now, it doesn't look good. The volume is below average, though, so there's no panic selling. As it was a speculative play, I'm out, looking for a reset.

  • djgustoso: #markets pretty ugly day especially for all th high flyers. I got stopped out of many of my winners, but used the opportunity to add some more $OKLO. I also went short on $RGTI via puts, and added to the strength on $GDX. Hope to see a better looking day tomorrow!
  • woodman: @djgustoso $OKLO $RGTI $GDX #markets - I ended up selling $RGTI twhen it hit the overhead VWAP in the early afternoon and deflected down. VWAP was serving as resistance before that and simply extended the pattern. The bad action in all the other quantum computing stocks was a further signal that I did indeed need to sell. Only $BTQ was green today, and even that one gave back a lot of its move higher. Rough day all the way around except for precious metals.
  • djgustoso: @woodman $OKLO $RGTI $GDX $BTQ #markets for sure it was a rough one! Gold and NVDA were the only green spots on my screen! All the other quantum stocks came down big too, so I think it was definitely a sign to TTMAR! We can always get back in when support becomes apparent, or if momentum comes back. A good day to clear the books and focus on winners.
  • Henry: @woodman $RGTI I'm out too. Grasso on Fast Money thought money was going to go from AI to Quantum. I have no idea, but the hi flyers are going to get hit in the very near term. If you had great entries, maybe you should stick with it. If you were late, you are if for some pain.

  • joelsg1: $RGTI A lot of PMs and institutional traders were sports fans in NYC during the 1980s known as the "lost decade" for Yankee fans and remember former Yankee left-hander Dave Righetti who threw a no-hitter in 1983 before converting to closer and later as pitching coach for the SF Giants helped the Giants win 3 World Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2014. So, when they look at the new and poorly understood (without a physics degree) quantum field of stocks they naturally gravitate to a familiar sounding name, $RGTI. Sometimes, it's that simple.

  • Bert953: @StockMarketMentor $RGTI $QBTS $QUBT Wow! long $QUBT Jan 19Calls. Call went from $3.35 entry to currently $7.1. Gonna hold on but wondering how close to set profit stop. Looking at the chart, I noticed that the 6/16 candle was another tall green candle on about 2x volume, but less than the almost 4x volume from 2 days prior. Afterwards price dropped then recovered to print a double top before falling below the 50dMA until 9/12. We are now seeing its recovery above the previous high. Despite the damage to your crystalline orb, any suggestions about how to trade this setup? Once again thanks for all you do.

  • joelsg1: @Mckirdie12 $RGTI Normally I would advise stay until it bucks you off with tighter and perhaps staggered stops depending on size, But today is triple witch options expiry so you have to anticipate shenanigans into the close, with lots of open interest at $26-28, 324M shares out and 16% short last report; therefore, perhaps do a mental health trim here and then watch $28 like a hawk esp. last 90 minutes of trading, if it breaks below dump more, you can always buy back later. FWIW

I missed the boat on that one, unfortunately. $BTQQF (np) trying to move above the 50d. $RGTI (long) holding up well after moving out of consolidation. It will test its ath soon by the looks of things. Thin trader $QTUM (np) has been very nice. $QUBT (np currently) is interesting here as it tries to move above the 50d. $QBTS (long) moved above the 50 on Friday and is holding the move for now. $ARQQ hitting the overhead 50d now. $IBM is trying to reverse its pullback since it started in late July, and no battling the overhead 50d. $QMCO (np) has been the clear under-performer in the group.
