  • DavidK: $PARA - well looks like the crooks on the street are downgrading to sell so they can pick up what meat is left on the buyout bone. After researching looks like $16 or a little higher is price . Probably punt my calls today as some deadlines hit tonight on offers and anything can happen . Lots of moving parts in this deal.100% plus not a bad trade .

  • DavidK: @woodman $PARA I just found an article that stated debt of 14.6 billion so if they subtract debt that is 14 billion or so market cap buyout which is about 50 % premium so $18 per share . I am not sure how the deal offer is being structured though . Regardless , seems on the surface much more upside . WTF knows

  • DavidK: @bigbartabs I was long $SPY calls . Sold for nice 75% gain . Then bought $IWM puts up 24% on those now . Probably sell before 4:15 today . Only true longs I believe in are $PARA and eventually $CCL. Bought and sold CCL calls today but still holding core . Sold $IWM - 53% gain . Markets might rally tomorrow is my guess but let’s see what happens as Trump says .

Longer term , risk reward imho is up 50-75% based on price targets discussed in buyouts or whatever they conjure up

  • jonwest88: As $PARA cut their dividend to .05 from .24, $PARAP the mandatory convertible preferred did not have its dividend cut. "the Board of Directors also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.4375 per share on its 5.75% Series A Mandatory Convertible Preferred Stock. The dividend will be payable on July 3, 2023, to stockholders of record at the close of business on June 15, 2023." Current yield = 23%.

  • Chaficp: @Lou $PARA I haven´t seen any news about $PARA. I sold strangles and puts in the middle of August and tomorrow will expire the strangles. I still have some puts sold. Probably I will sell another strangle. The $WBD is up nice as well.

  • Lou: Hi all. I've taken a hiatus from posting on SMM/OMM while tending existing positions and attending to some serious issues at home and regarding friends. I have been following my investments, doing some nips and tucks on the relatively few positions that I hold. Had continued to build and benefit from $ET $FTI $PXD. A couple of weeks ago I had to reverse my position in $DDS, I was short 320 and 290 calls after selling the stock to preserve profits when it was heading down. At earnings I again went long the stock at, in hindsight, an opportune time, so I'm again sitting on covered calls and some ITM short puts. Now building $PARA and $F and using $JEPI as a place to sit out the current turbulence.

Service costs for a menu of streaming channels are beginning to rival cable/satellite offerings, the whole reason cable-cutters switched to streaming. Expect volatility in each streaming service as subscribers exploit adding a service to binge a series and drop at EOM.

  • Lou: @PhooeyQuai $PARA - I own the stock and I've got lots of option positions at various strikes, both puts and calls. My $30 calls, costing 12.60, puts me into $PARA at 42.60 1 year and about 10 months from now. My average cost of all of my 1/24 $30 calls, including today's adds, is 9.14, as I've been buying them for some time. It just feels right. In investments I believe in concentration of exposure. It has served me well over the years and I'm hoping that continues. That said, my expectation is that I will sell these calls at higher prices, hopefully, cashing in some long term gains.
