  • Docoof: #Noteworthy #DryBulk (FWIW) $PANL Dry Bulk shippers are retaking their MAs (on good volume) but still under their 200d. $PANL is the first to get above all its major MAs and closed at $5.18 near horizontal resistance = $5.35. Others: $EGLE $SBLK $NMM $GOGL $DSX $SB #Tankers $NMM is also a Tanker company.
  • stairm01: $ZIM $DSX $NMM $EGLE $GNK $TNK Some shippers are breaking higher from a consolidation area. Is there one of these that catches your eye? Maybe EGLE DSX TNK? I'm long ZIM from last week. Nice move today.
  • AboveWater: @stairm01 $ZIM $DSX $NMM $EGLE $GNK $TNK I've been long PXS and and added again this morning, it is getting extended and move staggered stops up to protect profits.
  • AdrenalineTrade: $NMM W pattern on daily trying to trigger but so far no dice
  • snowbound: @AdrenalineTrade $NMM I'm watching this as well so you are most welcome company . It seems to be working on a cup -type handle DAILY and WEEKLY chart . Volume average has been declining on a daily PB . Hourly view ... 34.80 to overcome in the pivot . ATL
  • woodman: #Shippers #Shipping - I bought $GRIN $ESEA and $EGLE last week, and have been trading around a core of $PANL on the fairly obvious tops and bottoms. I don't have $ZIM at the moment, but it's flagging. $NMM (np) is bouncing. $CMRE I regretfully sold and didn't buy back; can't touch it here. $DSX (np) not in a bad spot here. $MATX (np) doing well, look for another pullback. $DAC (np) also doing well, but would like a deeper pullback.
  • Babutters: @woodman $GRIN $ESEA $EGLE $PANL $ZIM $NMM $CMRE $DSX $MATX $DAC #Shippers #Shipping $ZIM ex div tomorrow for $17 share. I am long with a bit of a cushion.
  • woodman: @Babutters $GRIN $ESEA $EGLE $PANL $ZIM $NMM $CMRE $DSX $MATX $DAC #Shippers #Shipping - I forgot about that. Thanks.
  • Justhanging48: @woodman $GRIN $ESEA $EGLE $PANL $ZIM $NMM $CMRE $DSX $MATX $DAC #Shippers #Shipping How about $GSL?
  • woodman: @Justhanging48 $GRIN $ESEA $EGLE $PANL $ZIM $NMM $CMRE $DSX $MATX $DAC $GSL #Shippers #Shipping - it feels to me like it needs to go sideways or pullback a little more.
  • Justhanging48: @woodman $GRIN $ESEA $EGLE $PANL $ZIM $NMM $CMRE $DSX $MATX $DAC $GSL #Shippers #Shipping. Thanks!
  • snowbound: $NMM Recovery to 8EMA after tail -spiking lower . Looks like last WEEK 's setup before its run higher .
  • Nepenthe: @DAN $UNH $RS Just thought I'd bring to your attention that our stop on $NMM was hit; I still see it on the ATL. $MPC still hanging in there, though it came close. Actually added to it this morning. Cheers.
  • DAN: @Nepenthe $UNH $RS $NMM $MPC ok. Thanks. Didn't see that.
  • snowbound: $NMM This closed - 8.74% in the RED at significant prior triple top support going back to 05.21 which is a retest of that breakout . I don't see futures but it appears the current SMM stop is set $0.06 above the 20SMA DAILY which could easily be tested at the open . Not to step on anyone's toes .... I cut mine way back yesterday in an effort to stay in and the 20SMA DAILY is trending support .
  • snowbound: $NMM WEEKLY W with a phase #2 type +/- retest . Not to say the pattern might not break even lower .
  • AdrenalineTrade: $NMM savaged
  • bRobert: @AdrenalineTrade $NMM Target 1 acquired Expect the expected $XME commodities coming in So should the carriers
  • scottrades: Swingers consider moving up a stop on $NMM
  • Nepenthe: @scottrades $NMM This when a bit of schizophrenia sets in. Do you mean from the 32.50 stop on the ATL, or do you have a separate swing trade on it? Actually, an STL wouldn't be a bad idea. Cheers.
  • scottrades: @Nepenthe $NMM If you're a swing trader, you would likely want a tighter stop. I'm not Dan, he's trading it his way, I'm suggesting how I would manage it at this point. I talked about a potential buy on March 9.
  • Nepenthe: @scottrades $NMM I get that. Thanks. I mused but with the idea that a list of your trades along with the ATL might be a good idea. Then again, it might be confusing. I follow you both but sometimes miss a trade, as I did with yours on NMM, and only wondered if perhaps you were taking over for him while he gets ready for the zoom call. That's it. Just musing away during all this volatility. Cheers.
  • scottrades: @Nepenthe $NMM Yeah, no problem. I'm sure it is confusing if he says something and then I say something but just remember that we are both different traders, with different styles. He's got his trades and I got mine. Lots of different ways to make money!
  • Nepenthe: @scottrades $NMM Indeed. And with that, it's happy hour. Starting early. Have a great weekend. Cheers.
  • Cjauger: @scottrades $SPY Staying away from the market except energy related $MPC, $NMM and $SQM. And my largest position is $CASH

  • woodman: @mharps $ZIM $DAC $NMM $CMRE - Ahh CMRE was one I had for a little bit, but didn't keep it. Now having some regret. I'm still in $PANL, though, including taking advantage of that spike/pullback sequence a couple weeks ago. It reports 3/16 amc.

  • DAN: @wineinquirer $NMM Yeah, I think it has some legs...but it's always best to tread lightly in this market.
  • Justhanging48: @wineinquirer $NMM Caught this one yesterday after seeing it in the Forum. Very low p/e with good growth.
  • bigbartabs: @DAN $NMM ... did $ZIM lose good graces? It still has nice looking charts. I lost track of it until you mentioned NMM.

  • EdW: $NMM posted yesterday--but everyone probably very busy-would appreciate your thoughts-Have a great 4th NMM--Is anyone considering this -almost qualifies as a yield hog? Yield 12.9%--Headquartered in #Greece but of course ships operate all over the world. Been consolidating for a while --close to a VS-I am looking to replace ANH.
  • dlylis: $NMM - a dry bulk shipper with a basing pattern since mid January. The pattern started below the 200 and is now above the 50 which is above the 200. 10.46% yield with the possibility of some upside.
  • dlylis: $NMM - is the LP and pays 10.7% Edit: and in consolidation w/ 6% #squeeze
  • dlylis: $DRYS - I am an $NMM kind of guy. Nice #dividend. Don't let the Greek thing throw you.
  • kashmire22: DRYS--I believe the recommendation was for $NMM which is a Greek company. Veronica
  • dlylis: $NMM - I have been in $NMM for quite a while as a shipper. They are Dry Bulk and yes, they are Greek. They have little or no #Greece exposure and have long term charters on their ships. You may not enjoy parabolic action, as you do with fruit, but they do pay 11.10% div at this price. Price is now sitting on top of the 200 at a convergence of the major moving averages and for the Worden proprietary followers, TSV is looking more constructive and $MS has some work to do. BBs are now in a volatility #squeeze with price on top of the 20. IMHO this is a decent watch.
  • dr.orangejuicer: Shippers - BDI: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/quote?ticker=BDIY:IND Bloomberg lags a day. For a daily report: http://www.dryships.com/pages/report.asp BDI close to 2008 lows, really nasty. Off by over half in just a few weeks. That said, I'm not sure which shippers you're watching but the ones I follow have been mostly sideways/up of late (DSX, $NM, $NMM, $GNK, EGLE). $DRYS is down but they've got heavy spot exposure while the others are contracted and so less exposed to today's prices. I imagine there will be a bankruptcy or two in the industry with rates this low. $DSX and NM/NMM are the cream of the crop, imo. EDIT: Good site for shipping news/information: http://www.hellenicshippingnews.com/
