Back when we were charged $6.95 fee Scottrade use to credit you when they were down or had network issues.

I complained in writing, they responded they were within their contract right, I persisted and they wound up partially relenting, crediting me 1/2 the lost profit. Maybe because I am a lawyer and a primo customer. Bottom line: if they value your business, they will fold at least a bit, so persist. Good for you!

I posted the guideline that they use,...for sell orders, if they don't go though. All you do is just call them, its just that simple and I never had a problem,...that they didn't take care of. ~~ I'm a customer just like you are and I get invited to special events and the last time I went, I had a nice conversation with Charles Schwab for about 30 minutes at Pebble Beach Golf Resort, he also has a house their....I'm just saying this is a real easy company to work with and always has been,....however they do have rules that they use,...for when they have tech outages. I'm glad to hear that you had your issue resolved. LOL next week...

- champ: #Schwab, I had a call from them today, right on the close and they #credited my account for,.... 4 of my disputed positions, that I could not sell on 1/27....because their trading platform was down that morning, for 20 minutes or so and those positions were on.... $AMZN $DECK, $CLX and $MKSI, they can track those sell positions when they don't go thought, just by looking at your sell activity that morning, they can #see that,...even if they don't go through. ~~~~ I'm just posting this, ...in case that ever happens to other Forum members...but it has be pointed out that same day, can't go back. I see compliance in the forum about this, with other brokers.

But MU is in a different IBD category -group 17: $MU is with computer storage which includes $NTAP $CARB $SIMO $WDC, while semi group is #32 which includes: $MKSI $DAIO ... - issues: I appreciate Dan's comments about this being a 'bull trap'. Dan is right a lot. Like when he said take partial profits when tech was at it high. I didn't follow his advice and regret it especially on $ANET! Wow 40 point drop! Will it ever return back up>? I added to $ALGN $SEDG $MKSI $RHT> and sold 1/4 position in $CGNX and all of $MZOR. Also sold $KRO with small profit. Bought starter in $ADBE! stop at $165. Added to $ROKU with stop at $35! Looking at $CRM and seeing the top is around $108. Not much room 'til it hits it's resistance.

- issues: As I carefully read the posts today and listened to uncle Dan on SMM last night, I noticed Dan's mention of $BRKS. So I did my diligent research and found BRKS is in IBD group 19 - Semis along with $LRCX $MKSI $AEIS $AMAT & $ESIO. I was surprised to see ESIO up 40 in the past 3 months. Then LRCX was up 4% in 10 days TCMD was also up 40% in the past 3 months. BRKS is has a good rating at 97 Cumulative and C+ accumulation. MKSI 99 Cumulative and A accumulation. and ESIO 91 Cumulative and A accumulation. ESIO might be one to keep in a watch list. But Dan's BRKS isn't bad either. Holding small positions in $LCRX $AMAT $MKSI. Bought $RP this morning.
- vfr777: $MKSI I posted about this on 7/12. Bought on 7/6. It reported today and the stock is higher. I sold some along the way but kept 25% for the earnings report. Glad I did that. I'll see if it makes it to $88 (high of june) and decide what to do.

- woodman: #Semiconductor stocks - I've been mentioning thses here and there and provided a list of ones that caught my last week, I think. Many are working. My fav of late has been $OCLR which has been a beast the last few days, but more generally has been in a nice channel and a great buy on pullbacks to the 50 day. I am long $OCLR. I am also in $NXPI and $LSCC, but beware that these report tomorrow and the next day, respectively. $XLNX also looks good here, but it too reports tomorrow. $AMD and $MU have done well post earnings-announcements so maybe this will carry over to ones about to report. Who knows. $VECO looks good, as mentioned below. $NVDA was on my list too, but I missed the entry. Some others of interest $KLAC, $STM, $RBCN $TXN $TSM $MKSI.
