- JosephM: $LC..doesn't trade a lot but volume up and looks good.
- SpaceCoastJon: $LC moving
- EricF1745: @scottrades Good morning Scott! Any thoughts on $LC and $FNKO?
- scottrades: @EricF1745 $LC Has some interesting activity around the 50 Day MA as you can see from it's history. It's nice and tight as well and I see a pivot around 29.40 and then you'd want to see a solid close. You could then add a tiny bit above 29.70.
- EricF1745: @scottrades $LC Great, thanks for the input
- Wykeman: $LC breaking out nh take a look
- JosephM: @Wykeman $LC saw this one too. Nice volume. Hard to buy here.
- Louis Berg: $LC blasting off, 52-weeks hi’s. Performance (RS) line making highs as well. Volume follow through. Decent Fundamentals
- Wykeman: $LC Not letting you in. Has been nice vol everyday since the pop.
- kbrowe: @Wykeman $LC Nice. Got this when Cathy Woods was accumulating last month.

- Bridget: $LC moving higher, seeing decent volume
- DrScience: $LC still squeezing the bears this afternoon. Stock is NTB (none available to borrow).
- TunaHelper: @issues You may want to look at the $FXI to provide context. Seems like there are a lot of debt / currency issues right now over there. You mentioned that you exited $YRD a few days ago (per I think @Bridget's suggestion), which I think was a very good move. Being a lending marketplace, that company is pretty much within the nuclear blast zone of things happening over there (and it's analogs over here - $LC and $ONDK - have been having a rough time this year. Though $SQ seems to be on the mend.)

DrScience: ...
As a member of the Fintech sector, $SQ, along with $PYPL and $LC, has room to grow in the new wave of financial services. The company still has outgo greater than income, but as CFO Sara Friar notes:
... the company "executed beyond our expect ... - orpheusredux: $LC which was up 50% in 6 weeks is finally rolling over. May get a shot at this eventually. Was in it a few months ago but sold out before the run up.
- woodman: $LC phase 3 move. 200 day above.
- orpheusredux: $LC bearish engulfing candle. Breaking down after recent runup. Will look for entry but not RHRN.
- orpheusredux: $LC revising my previous post about this name. Not a true bearish engulfing pattern b/c $LC recovered enough so that the closing price didn't eclipse Friday's close. Bears watching, but break-out probably still intact. Maybe it's giving us a chance to get back in.
- Bridget: $LC coming out of a squeeze
- Forexpro: @FHS $LC Hi, FHS, Here's hoping that you're doing well. This isn't moving directly into "escape gravity" mode, but it seems to want to continue doing the right thing. It's also having a pretty good day again today. Hope you were able to add a bit, and that it keeps going. :) All the best!
- FHS: @Forexpro $LC With this one, it's difficult to know what the "right thing" is. It's my "spec" trade. I did take some off this morning on the initial pop, then added once it pulled back, due to what seems high volume. I'm looking now at the 200ma as resistance if it closes above 6. I will get out if it drops back below 6. Anyway, that's my approach to this jaundiced company's stock. Words of wisdom always appreciated. Cheers.
- Forexpro: @FHS $LC Yup, Agreed, FHS, FWIW (not much, at all) it looks to me as though potential support now comes in around 5.50. I have an alert set at 5.55, and I wouldn't mind adding there, with a tighter stop. It sounds as though you're playing it well. Best of luck!
- FHS: @Forexpro $LC That price is considerably above my cost basis, so I might consider that also for a partial position hold, and sell a partial should it drop below six, with an add there. We'll see. Thanks for that. Cheers.
- orpheusredux: $LC is coming out of a squeeze.
- Forexpro: Re: $LC Hi, Friends, I had to go fairly far down the list of upside movers to spot an actual stock (as opposed to a vol-based ETF) that I recognized, but this one is actually up on the day, despite being a "sort of" financial. Not a break out yet, but getting closer. No position, I hasten to add. All the best!
- DavidM: @Forexpro $LC $TEDU is up a little
- FHS: @Forexpro $LC Ah! I was going to mention it also, but didn't want to jinx it. But now that the "great mind" has spoken, I can breathe easier. I sold this on its initial break out, and bought back a very small position in mid-congestion. I'm looking for a break above $6 to add; and will jettison if it falls below my buy point, not even waiting for support at the 50ma. Anyway, that's all for today. And I'll take this opportunity to thank you for the umpteenth time for all your words of wisdom. Cheers.
- GaVaHokie: $LC Jim Lebenthal just mentioned Lending Club on Halftime Report... it got hit hard earlier this year off the bundled loan selling news, but it looks like it's climbing it's way out. Anybody like this chart?
- issues: @GaVaHokie $LC Sure I like the chart but NP
- FHS: $LC A risky venture. Angels dare not tread near it. But my devilish nature said, why not? Added this morning but already sold half; will see what happens if it reaches the 100ma; then it has the 200ma. Volume's good this morning on this "breakout." If it implodes, fine, I will not let it fall lower than the first circle of hell. Will take profits and run. This is a purely speculative trade unless it shows signs of joining humanity. Cheers.
- woodman: $LC - nice breakout from volatility squeeze out of 3 month base.
- traderbren:
- FHS: @woodman $LC I took profits the moment it touched the 100ma; the relevance of which I'm uncertain. But I have noticed quite a few stocks will stumble there. Maybe Dan, or others, could weigh in on it. If it starts trading above it there is quite a lot of room to run before it encounters the 200ma. I might look to reload. Perhaps I'm overthinking this, but I took the 22% profit. Any thoughts? Cheers.
- woodman: @FHS $LC #CreditServices - Excellent work! Congrats. This one is new to me, but yeah, I can see why you sold it and it looks like you did perfectly. I have no idea what caused it to jump (earnings?) but I'd be inclined to let it let it cool off some before getting back in. I was fishing for another credit services stock to add to my holdings and saw LC as I waded thru the charts. I have $EZPW still (getting squeezer-ish), but sold my $YRD to bank some green; I'd like back in YRD eventually but not here. Also catching my eye in the sector: $ONDK $AXP $SLM $WU $FCFS
- JJT1: @FHS $LC Glad to see another fan of the relevance of the 100 SMA!
- FHS: @woodman $LC $EZPW $YRD $ONDK $AXP $SLM $WU $FCFS #CreditServices Greetings! Yes, I believe it was an earnings jump, but why I don't know. I tried reading them, but out of boredom turned to "War and Peace" instead. There still seems to be a lot of negative commotion regarding the company, so I thought it best to be cautious, maybe overly so. Thanks for pointing the others out. I will take a look. Cheers.
- FHS: @JJT1 $LC Admittedly, I know very little about it, other than, as I mentioned, a lot of my stocks/trades hesitate at it. So I've started to take notice. Any technical tidbits always welcome. Cheers.
- FHS: $LC Interesting price action today, post earnings. Has hit both lower and upper BB's, on high volume. This is risky, and one wonders if it can ever get its act together. No position. Considering. Cheers.
- mradams0621: $LC dropping again, seems a little overdone based on the available news. CEO ousted- and he does sound like a bad boy, but may or may not hurt the financial future of the company. He was just bending or breaking a few rules and mislead some internal auditors, which the board did not appreciate. Politicians do far worse and it does not even stop them from running for high office. Give the guy a break! Was he at least trying to make money for the stockholders? Could be an oversold bounce trade setting up. Or not.
