  • bullmoose: $JAZZ, $FF, $OAS, $HA, $CRUS, $EXK - Hi forumers. I've been a bit busy with a work assignment lately so I haven't been in the forum. I had a little time this morning to read a few posts and thought I'd throw out a few tickers I've gotten involved in ...
  • Edgarzb: $FF - Continues to explode. Unfortunately I'm not long.
  • Tim S: Notable earnings after Monday's close $FF, GERN
  • DAN: Wow! I just popped in to give a quick check on the forum before I head out to run some errands (I am recording the NFL games. I start watching about 90 minutes after they start so I can $FF they the commercials). I must tell you that it is amazing, ...

  • AndyK: @GARY / @Josh - Having trouble with the video again. Very slow download speeds from SMM only. I have no problem with other sites. Just FYI. I am using Chrome tonight, but no luck in $FF either.
  • snmtraders: $FF @Tricia -- Freudian slip or typo?
  • davidm: @hwyflier That did not fix it this time. It is odd, as I use IE for my own charts and Firefox for yours, assuming that anything kept in cookies would not step on each other doing that. It has always worked in the past, but for some reason the IE version crashed today and came up as your Sprint chart, which I had looked at in $FF a couple of hours ago. Strange, but again, no big deal.
  • Henry: OT Forum Adobe Flash crash and Firefox. The forum and many other sites I use run flash. Flash crashes, frequently, some days constantly. @Slowtime suggested using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. I didn't want to go back to IE, but I researched firefox and adobe forums and it is a known problem, without a solution. $FF has introduced versions 13 and 14, neither of which has solved the problem. $ADBE suggests downloading the version beyond $FF beta, only to help diagnose the problem not solve it. Should you be inclined to migrate to IE, there is a program call Xmarks, which stores your bookmarks on line. You can get the firefox version and store your bookmarks and then get the IE version and synchronize $FF with IE. http://www.xmarks.com/
  • davidm: OT Forum Adobe Flash crash and Firefox. I run in Firefox and rarely have any issues, although I believe that Flash was updated yesterday and Firefox last week, so we'll see if my string continues. I constantly have 3 $FF Windows open, 1 with a tab on ...
  • tstrarup: Mradams- well I guess my new name is Blondie..you could at least spell my name correctly. Delisted??? Don't know what that is so I guess I haven't. Yes, I just finished @Dan's video on $FF and Mad Money. Whatcha think #Greece is gonna do? No fear here...my calls are out long for the most part. I've learned the hard way not to trade on impulse. My biggest goal is to have more time because I do get rushed sometimes with all my other duties. What time zone are you in? Isn't it kinda late for a senior. THought you guys went to bed early. lol
  • FinnyFirebird: @Gary You need to change the date in the title of your message. $FF
  • FinnyFirebird: @Dan - Thanks, your words of wisdom always calibrate my thoughts and actions for the day. $FF
  • FinnyFirebird: @Dan: Right you are as regards how to treat your long standing customers. I have been with you since Feb 2009. Another investment advisory service I subscribe to and value keeps playing games with pricing..such as increasing prices with the intent of "encouraging" me to "upgrade" to a higher (aka more expensive) level that I don't want/need. I am in "discussions" with them as I either get the price I have been paying or it's hasta lavista, baby! Anyway, I appreciate your philosophy re: loyal customers..it's both "good business" and ethically sound. $FF
  • alan11: TradeMonster - never mind, I opened an acct to run their platform along side ToS today, not even in the same ball park. It's web-based vs Java with ToS, might be better with a faster browser than my $FF 3.6, but I'd lose some stability. Prophet charts with ToS have 10 times the number of studies avail., and more customizable and faster (being Java.) The trade screen was not nearly as good for seeing or picking the #options I wanted. Live chat help was slow, seemed to be one step behind what I wanted to do. I'll now be more patient with the small glitches I have with ToS... Also the web-based Trademonster used more CPU, one chart there with 4 studies, and my cpu util had doubled, and I'm running 6 Prophet charts and 1 ToS chart (all with the same 4 studies) in ToS.
  • boulder: @Jazman0013 - $FF 4.0 - I tried the new version and could not get the Audio from SSM clips. Retrograded to V. 3.6 and all is well.
  • BeachBound: Weekend Update -- for some time I have not been able to see all the links to videos on the weekend update page. I always see the first item OK and can link to it. But the others are too small to read or even see. I'm using the latest Firefox. I can get around the problem by using $FF on another computer, and it works OK. On the same computer the links look and work OK in msie. This morning I uninstalled and reinstalled FF. No change. Has anyone else run into this and resolved it? If so, what's the issue and what do I change?
  • alan11: FireFox 4.0 (beta 10) - anyone else running it? It's running with my ToS trading app for the first time, and it's stable and much faster then $FF 3.6. Using less memory too. I wanted to test it before they shut down the beta and get any problems corrected now (I've read that they go to beta 12 and then release production), but it's good enough that I may just keep using it.
  • Poppy: Firefox 4.0 - alan11 I got the beta last month or thereabout - didn't like it one bit so I rolled back to 3.6. $FF 4.0 looked like Chrome...in disguise. FWIW
  • chelton: CHIPS After watching $FF last nite and looking at some of the stocks they mentioned I have the following question: Is this Arm Architecture thing a major shift that has a lot of trading dimensions and some new "faces" to consider? Names mentioned were Nvidea, Broadcom, Qualcom, $NSM, Marvel, $ONNN (interesting chart with a $15 target-per talking head). $NVDA sure got hot yesterday. Googled Arm Arch., but came away as confused as I started. Seems that the move to Ipads and smart phones is using different components for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons look to benefit some manufacturers. Also, looks like these new chips are cloud related or friendly. Trying to get a feel for what is happening so that it just isnt a @charting exercise. Thanks.
  • Arie: $F - Wait a bit longer and it'll come up... very slow, but it did show eventually. Win7 + $FF Seems to be finding support @ $16
  • FinnyFirebird: I too was denied access to the option monster webinar because the limit of 1000 was reached...this is very disappointing as I reserved a spot more than a week ago. $FF
  • FinnyFirebird: @Dan: I'm doing what you taught us/me to do....wait for the knife to stick in the butcher block. $FF
  • FinnyFirebird: @Dan: This kind of overview, especially "early" in the trading day is extremely helpful in providing a framework to guide me and other traders. I listen to your videos every night, and they are very useful, but as we all know the morning can bring new challenges/opportunities. Please continue to provide your strategic thoughts about the market and how to trade it as events/circumstances dictate. $FF
  • dati1218: $BP just took a nose dive after $FF team "downgraded it". D.

Thank you for the information that you posted. There are many reasons that such a tax would do great damage to the markets, institutions and individual investors/traders. The move to tax transactions is an effort to punish Wall Street and play on p ...
  • FinnyFirebird: @Dan: Thanks so much for your usual insightful guidance. You exhibit great wisdom that can only be gained through actual, hard experience and the intelligence to learn and grow from it. I have susbcribed to your service for almost a year now and intend to be a faithful member for life. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. $FF
  • milt: Fast Money, @Jeff Degraff -

Not sure I understood what he said. Yeah I got the general idea, but the specifics I didn't quite get.
    - this is a tradeable bounce
    - needs to see a decrease in the number of new lows, like it happened in the last bea ...
