This is a MitM:Man-in-the-Middle attack; where a device "sits" in between $V,$MA card during a legitimate transaction; MitM request and reads all card information which is sent over-the-air/wireless/contactless and then re-transmits to the actual PoS Point-of-Sale device. What is not reported is HOW the PIN(Personal Identifier Number) is captured. Still bad as your credit-card details are captured. Similar to a "drive-by" hack where someone initiates a contactless transaction to your card while it is in your wallet, pocket, pocketbook as they "walk-by". Transaction to capture card data is fraction of second (remainder of time spent authenticating with $V,$MA,$AXP,$DFS,$COF server). Given rise to metal-encased card-holder to prevent.

- Forexpro: @Sher $COF Thanks, Sher, Fell off my radar as well, and I'm not yet involved. I tend to forget about these folks when thinking "banks", although credit cards are about the easiest, highest margin products banks can offer (for as long as borrowers are able to repay their obligations). Not too quickly, though, please; picking up 18-21 percent on outstanding balances fits a bank's definition of "fun". In the middle panel below the price chart I've plotted the performance of $COF versus $KBE; it's been doing quite nicely. Here's hoping that you're doing well; all the best!

On the $SPY, could be trying to level out, at around this current level at $285, off of the recent $280 low. Could also be... that traders are testing the last 2-days and are swinging a few new 1/3 size swing positions, that are working, after dropping size back-down, on the close. However many traders, are mostly only Day-trading, is my guess. For now, #investors are still mostly holding, their main positions and watching. .....This is my guess, on what could be going on, I wish I knew but I don't. This is only how I'm working.
