- BocaRick: @Bert953 $GB ....$GBTC Bitcoin Trust.... talking heads the other day when it hit $1,500 talked about $22.000 by end of 2021?
- bRobert: @Bert953 $GB $GBTC Lauren Hutton space
- Bridget: $MHK continuing to look strong. Also $KMPH (recent IPO) and $GB but the volume is really low.
- bwcarnation1: @Bridget $MHK $KMPH $GB seems generally low volume on many stocks
- Bridget: Phase 1 and phase 2 squeeze on $GB, after earnings. Enter on phase 3. Stop just below 52.
- Poppy: @davidm re Win8 I heard but not quite understood that Win8 has problems and that PC manufacturers are now going back to offer Win7 loaded machine. [like HP]. Can you share your experience? I have a friend who's looking into getting a new machine trying to decide between Win7 & 8. I myself have Win7 and have been quite satisfied since the upgrade of memory to 14 $GB [from 4]. Totally agree with you about XP being fully depreciated...my laptop with Vista is barely adequate for anything but Word processing...It's not environmentally kosher to bury it in my garden. Plants can't use computer. popster
- davidm: NEW COMPUTER @profitpete @mkridge708 Not to be disagreeable, but I am running Windows 8.1 and it has been solid as a rock. It probably took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to set things up to get around the stupid new interface, which as far as I know is the only downside to Win 8. Windows 7 is solid as well. My desktop is an ASUS with an $AMD A8-5500 and 12 $GB RAM and a decent enough graphics board out of the box to support at least the 2 HDMI monitors that I am running.
- chuckd: $NFLX @Tricia - Missed my entry point on NFLX. Great service for us too. However, I can't fire comcast even if I fire its cable tv service. My Account page says of my comcast internet service, "the 250 $GB cap is currently inactive" $S What happens to $NFLX when $CMCSA activates its cap? That's gonna be some battle.
- tnt: $CLDX good points @Tricia, my feeling is the data must be encouraging or else they wouldn't be expanding the number of patients, perhaps not statistically significant, but likely very close or they would just move on. but yes, much more happening here to be involved regardless of $GB
- debeers: NE- fresh off the call which was sort of weird to listen to that familiar honeyed Texas drawl now domiciled in Great Britain. 3 things you need to know; 1. Taxes for them will be much less in $GB, 2 they are executing flawlessly as expected 3. Completely sold out until 8/14 when they get their new jackup, the @Danny Adkins and they are now flooded with bids for that. This is a winner and although I am a conservative girl and am sticking with my 53 tag, I am certainly willing to listen to reason if Weil or Oppenheimer wants to increase targets!
- Big D: Help - @poppy @bglee - I cleared my cache in Firefox, couldn't clear the Silverlight cache as that wasn't an option in the Silverlight pop up screen, but the biggest thing I did was close all my other charts and most of my open windows/tabs and re-boot. Everything is fine for now. My RAM is only 4 $GB and I wonder if that's my main problem overall. Thanks @bglee. dl
- Lou: @kat - there aren't too many #options with Apple, as I recall. Size of monitor, memory and hard drive were all I was able to pick and I went with the "biggest & most." As for my Windows computer, it's a 4yo Dell, with a fast processor (Intel Core7 ...
- Bermont: SCHWAB @boba - Thank you for your response, I have 4 $GB memory which is not very high but I think the problem is due to the fact that StreetSmart Edge was made to work with PCs like Dell for instance. When you want to use it with a Mac you have to download and Interface provided by Schwab and this is where problems are compounded. I would appreciate if some $MAC users could also give me some feed back.
- boba: Schwab - 4 $GB is the minimum for Edge. You might try adding to that.
- pcotton: I use Snagit from Techsmith, to capture screen video to AVI, as well as charts. Unlike Camtasia, a more expensive sister program from Techsmith, Snagit has a 1 $GB limit on video file size. I think the streaming video is usually small-format and low quality, so you could probably record at least an hour. The video quality settings are adjustable in Snatig. You'd have to experiment. I don't know if capturing the QA violates SMM's terms of agreement, however, and I haven't used it to capture SMM's videos. Let me know if you inquire and find out if it's kosher, would you?
- tcasey: HELP- I know this is off-topic but thought I would present this question on the weekend. I recently made a change of internet service provider from Clearwire to Wildblue Excede because Clearwire was becoming unreliable in the Southern Oregon mounta ...
- gold2stocks: Hotel Internet - I have a $VZ 4G LTE which is blazing fast with my mobile laptop. 50 bucks a month for 5GB use. I never go over unless I watch a LOT of video. Even then I have never used more than 6. 10 bucks per $GB after your 5 is dirt cheap in my mind. Up to 5 devices connect at once and will last on battery for about 2.5 hours continuous use. G2S
- MultiMill: Fidelity ATP - @apzimmerle: One thing that I found out was that Fidelity ATP (desktop) can @freeze up if you do not have enough RAM on your computer. A call to Fidelity tech support might help. You may need upwards of 1.25 $GB of RAM (don't take this as truth...just off the top of my head). If you think this is your problem, you can add RAM to your computer or run some things on another computer (that's what I did for now). I have ATP and ToS running on my desktop...everything else runs on my laptop. The crashes could be VERY expensive if they happen just when you really need to enter a trade, so it is worth it to find a solution.

Mine is an $HP Intel I-5 with 6 or 8 $GB of memory, a swapped out Corsair 500 watt power supply and a 3 monitor video card, whose name I forgot.
One last curiosity. The "eyefininty" depends on using at least one display connector. Display connect ... - Wolf: Fidelity Active Trader - Seems to occasionally @freeze. Cant even click the mouse. Seems to happen when my connection gets slow. I have dual core Pentium 2.2Ghz 3 $GB RAM and I am using XP Pro. Thinking it may be my computer. Anyone else have this and not have the problem? What PC and Operating system are you using?
- gold2stocks: Vikes @ karkn.........The pain is deep and bitterness is long........I "listened" to the first Vikings game on radio in 1961 as a young boy. .........I grew up watch Gayle Sayers and Walter Payton run for about 198 @miles against Minnesota and yet we would somehow luck out and win a tight one...........the Lions have always been a whipping post for us........not so this year.........The Bears and Vikes will be back to dominate..........Det and $GB better enjoy their run now because their "market" is getting ready to smack resistance where Minn and Chic are at the bottom of support.
- Doug1: Just a suggestion but a used 16 $GB iphone 4 sells for about $300-350 on ebay. The 32 $GB sells for $400 or so. I am not due for an upgrade till 5-2012 but for an extra $250 they will let me have a new 4s. A new 16 $GB version would cost me $199 plus $250 or $450 total but if I sell my iphone 4 on ebay the additional cost is minimal. If you aren't sure of the date etc. from your iphone press *639# and "call". They will text you the necessary information on your upgrade. Hope this helps, though you may have known this prior. @Doug

1:51: The new iPod Nano is going for $129 at 8 $GB and $149 at 16GB.
1:52: Now we're talking about the iPod Touch. It's a good gaming machine ... and all that stuff. A white iPod Touch. $199 for the 8 $GB model, $299 for 32GB model, $399 for 64 $GB ... - dmandk: $GLD - Gold the metal is going higher in many other currencies besides the US Dollar (USD). Because the $USD got stronger the past few days, the apparent price of gold and therefore $GLD has dropped. Gold is at all time highs in the $GB Pound, Euro, and Swiss Franc.
- mepcc1: $AAPL -Well I guess there are 2 female dorks in this forum - also gettinh ready to download Lion as soon as I get some work finished this afternoon. An I will take OSX - new computer - gizmo over a new outfit any day of the year!! Now I just need to trade enough in my taxable account to pay for 27" iMac with fastest processor and 16 $GB ram - am tired of Windows slowing my system down to a crawl with too many programs going at the same time. Now if Verizon would just bring us FIOS some time this century, life would be sweeter!! Mariana
- crumholtz: $NFLX - Interesting WSJ article. It a given that in 4 or 5 years, many more customers will be pushing the current 250 $GB limit currently in place by Comcast. It is also a given that by that time, the limit will have to be much higher, as these companies will have to keep up with demand or get left behind. The ability to more efficiently deliver content will also be a key factor in the coming years. Companies that play a major role in this area are going to get a lot more attention as we move forward.
- bigjohn991: Computer-@galcebo thank you -I am looking at the Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.8 GHz with turbo boost; motherboard -ASUS P86P67-certified B3; RAM 16 $GB DDR3 RAM; hard drive1 128 solid state operating system drive; hard drive 2 with 0ne terabyte data drive; eight monitor support for my daytrading account
- rbmoult: computer - @Poppy... I am running A Intel Core 7, using WIN7 X64, 6GB, 2TB of RAID, with 4 monitors and NVIDIA Graphic Cards. Both cards have 1 $GB of DDR3 on board. Unless your a GAMER that should that should get the job done. I am streaming to 3 monitors an use the 4th to manage mail, the forum and other apps. The previous comment about a big well regulated power supply is important when you start adding VIDEO, DISK and Memory.
- futurepants: Ameritrade, CallaLilly - I just went through the same thing. Be warned: even on an 8-core 3.1 Ghz mac Pro with 4 cores and 4 $GB of memory dedicated to VMWare, TradeStation was virtually unusable during market hours. Missing keystrokes! Choppy mouse! Don't go there! I ended up installing windows via bootcamp on my MacBook Air and all is happy. So if you can do bootcamp on your mac (I can't due to a RAID card), you will be fine. But do not expect it to perform well under VMWare :) - fp
- wachholder: @Markf - Yes, go Bears! Looking forward to the $GB game next week. both Bears and Pack look to be hiting their strides right now - will be fun to watch.

- Craigy: @CMAC Oil is bigger than government and always will be in my life time. Means just about nothing that lawsuits will ensue. They have plenty of guns to battle that war. US an $GB need $BP alive and well.

Just look at the companies involved in this innovation.... Apple, Fuji, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Konica ... - DAN: murgatroid -- I agree that the vast majority of commentators on #CNBC are holding pom poms for the current administration, and that @Hobbes really has a socialist bent to him (as do many folks from $GB and other parts of Europe).
