- joelsg1: $SNPS E tonight, implied move around $32. They design for everyone and this is first Q of combined ANSS numbers. Long from way below and adding 9/26 $610-650 call spreads though probably get better price nearer close.

- joelsg1: $SNPS Up 41% since last E swoon and will probably swoon again next E 8/20, but in the meantime enjoying the ride with ATH of $629.38 from 2/24 in sight. Long from way below. Only 185M shares out, CFRA target $656.
- joelsg1: $SNPS Up 62% since 4/7 low with 2 bounces off lower BB since. Closed $ANSS acquisition last week, Piper raises to $660. Long from a chasm below but company said acquisition will take over a year to be accretive, so wouldn't add into E 8/20 but if it drops after would add then.
- joelsg1: $SNPS Received approval for $ANSS acquisition from Chinese regulators, it's been a long 17 months but deal to close Thursday 7/17. Long all the way.

- joelsg1: @Henry $ANSS $SNPS LT holder of $SNPS with avg cost basis about $200 lower. Merger terms are each $ANSS shareholder gets $197 cash plus .345 shares of $SNPS, total value is about $20 more than current $ANSS stock price, that's the risk discount, and China still has to approve merger.
- Motorman: Nice pop in $SNPS on easing china restrictions. I added following the 3 day drop in end of May once it re-established 50day. Though volume no where near volume on those 3 days.

$SNPS reported better than expected but with negative growth in sales, given they have a lot of products for networking and AI system connectivity solutions for Datacenter. This is not the only sign aligning with the cooling business perspective.

Demand strong and big acquisition closing first half. I’m a buyer on Day 3.
