I said to my wife as I saw the headline come across that this could have an impact on fuel and food prices and she just rolled her eyes. Take the LA Port fiasco that occurred... perfect example of how bad it can get in that sector.

- scottrades: @joelsg1 I'm working off the top of my head but I would imagine, Agricultural companies would be impacted the most, along with mining companies like $TECK or $GOLD, could get hit. Also thinking about Automakers, like Magna International, or $F and $GM. Oil and Gas like $SU, $IMO or $CNQ. Hope that's helpful!

Good Luck! $TSM $NVDA, and Monday could be a good day for both of these swings.
- champ: $TECK...is HOD at $48.75...and on 7/11 they just closed a sales on some of their Coal assets for $7.2 billion (U.S. $$$$)....and Now after that sale..... .....the #new-News now is, it is receiving #Take-Over attention, per Bloomberg, on 7/26. ~~~This is a huge diversified mining company, that mines just about all metals, including.... Zinc, Copper, Sliver, #Gold and other metals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...Could have an M&A bounce, just about anytime, per Bloomberg.

- champ: $TECK...HOD at $53...and they are at their #Breakout-level...because the price on all of their Metals are climbing.....because Inflation is climbing, in this sector, now they have positive reasons to raise their price on All of their Metals....... .....however the Markets are raising their Metal-prices for them, they don't have to do anything...because they Sell to their customers at-the-Market. ~~~This company is a huge miner, that mines #all of the Metals, they are a 1-stop-shop for all of the Metals...they are really diversified.................... .....and they also have Gold-mines and Copper-mines, that are also working 24-7. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Interesting to me that while one lead investor GQG sold their stake in Schwab---panicking during the SIVB meltdown in the banking crisis, JPM's and their lead financial analyst goes to simply went to 86 fro ... - debeers: $CROX- here's a reality check for ya--Meta is up 2.97% but the little ugly shoes guys are up 3.64% and $TECK is up 3.54%. If the country is in the dumper, the toddler doesn't need you to give him the Nikes at suppertime that he'll outgrow by the morning. You get him Crox and put his favorite cartoon figures in the perforations. We have great stocks here if the market goes up---Paradoxically if the consumer is squeezed buy the $CROX for insurance. The only real thing that can deter this one is the rainbow running out of colors and new designs and that ain't happening.LONG

It was stated on a small card beneath a model, but now apparently that reference was removed. Probably means nothing, still long.

- debeers: TOUGH CHOICES AND HARD DECISIONS- I decided i only wanted 1 in the materials space and i had to let $TECK go and add to $STLD and here's why: Not only does $STLD have no misses onthe last 4 earnings calls but here are the compares: TECK RESOURCES- 1 year 23%, 3 year 114.6%, 61.2% for the 5 year returns STLD- 1 year 48.3%, 3 year 243.7%, 5 year 184.6% returns Winner winner chicken dinner---stay with the $STLD.

Coal getting a big bump because Europe can’t find anything else to burn, despite all the best of intentions

VanEck and State Street Global Advisors offer their own versions of, essentially, the same investment. One isn't significantly better/different from the other, so either will produce much the same results. I faced a similar dilemma when I began to feel $QQQ was getting too expensive, so I switched to $XLK. I got a lower price point with substantially the same underlying investment.

MORON ALERT: That means we can get possibly 56 US dollars for the stock .IMO you should avoid it at all costs because YOU are such a genius that YOUR stocks can go up more than 40%. In the Material space i think its a winner winner chicken dinner stock and i'm a Material girl.LONG PS Stifel has it as an Outperform.

- debeers: $TECK/$KYMR/$GFS/$TSLA/$FSLR-a50/50 position with $MTDR/$RH- because @Woodman is flawless in charting & i like the properties in Aspen and the guesthouses as experiential -rather than the high end hotel which is no longer changing your linens every day(ewwwww!!!). Since the results for $MAR showed promise so the upgrade would be the $RH guesthouses in the US and chateaus in Aspen. i think we already got the downside. $GFS scored with Ford. The earnings should be a re-affirmation of that. i don't like indexes because they smear or boost unilatterally.LONGS ALL
