- joelsg1: $SNPS Closed most of super risky tomorrow's call spreads for profit up to 50% by leaving short $460 strikes to wither to expiry covered by shares from way below. Blowout Q deserved even better reaction, so intend to exercise remaining $430s. Or not, sold all long strikes.
- joelsg1: $SNPS Laddered down to Friday's $430-460 call spreads. Super risky as is over E tonight, but even more with options expiring Friday. Pretty confident they beat as always, guidance has sunk them before so perhaps they learned.
- joelsg1: $SNPS Beat, met, guide good, old CEO moves to Chairman, new CEO 25-year vet now COO so seamless. I had implied move about $24 so ah up $11 now but well below that. Thin with high institutional ownership so call and tomorrow will tell.
- joelsg1: $SNPS I have been doing pretty well with E call spreads this year so here's another, reports tomorrow after the bell, announced today deal to license its IP to $INTC new foundry, long shares from way below and added small quickie Friday's $440-460 call spreads for my usual less than 1-3 risk/reward cost. I think the turn is in and this pops above 50d on E, but if not risking less than 1.5% of stock price.
