I said to my wife as I saw the headline come across that this could have an impact on fuel and food prices and she just rolled her eyes. - maracom: Pulling apart the top 10 components of the $GDX that are tradable in the US, the best performers that are approaching all time highs are: $FNV $WPM $GFI. The large miners $NEM and $GOLD are lagging compared to the midcap miners. The other midcap miners that are still playing catchup are: $PAAS $NCMGY $AU. $PAAS is also the largest holding in $GDXJ. The first three are too hot for me to handle right now, all greater than 25% away from the 50sma, but if the #gold move is real $NEM and $GOLD still have plenty of room to catch up. I'm selling a cash secured Apr $50 put to #wheel $NEM, and I'm taking a small starter in $GOLD as a mental health buy. Will watch the leaders for signs of a pullback to add.

I am still watching the move in $GLD playout, as the monthly chart has a nice C&H on it. When charts start looking good on the long term time frames, you have to pay attention to them. I’m watching $GDX, $WPM, $RGLD, $NEM, $AEM, and hold some $GOLD. Also watching for re-entries on $SMH Stocks like $ON $ALGM. I see a nice base on $TSM. $NVDA is still in trend. $AMD is back to the 8EMA. I’ve also been mentioning Defense stocks like $LMT and $AXON which have started coming out of their bases. I like $WPM as a play and I bought some today. Some of them are trading at a discount to their peers like $SAND. I also like $EGO which is trying to crest some Weekly resistance.
