- marklesparkle: @woodman $CASH $QID Well on the positive side we finished up but the news is shaking out and these small and mid and big if they do pay up the costs get passed to us and then we don't buy it because we cant afford it and so it sits on the shelf so to speak and it just portends to everything is getting cracked and broken like a windshield. However that may change as my company provides math curriculum and professional development services to school districts in Texas. And yes some of my districts pay with Title I fundíng, that comes from the department of education. An there other funding options. Thanks to @Dan and @scottrades I have built a nice retirement fund. It is overextended, hence it has to correct. # BTC and crypto in general are correcting, this trade is far from over. I am in $CASH now but $MSTR is on my watchlist

- Cjauger: Trimmed half of $NVDA, $NVDL, and $QLD (my only positions) then went to $CASH. The rubber band went way down, and now it went way up. Both sides were parabolic, $SPY within 3% of its all time high. At the very least this charts have to rest, if not pull back some.

- billyzeke: I was awfully glad to be holding mostly $CASH when I checked the futures last night and after logging into my account this morning. And while I didn't play this big tech pullback perfectly... (I gave more back than I should have fooling around with $NVDA and a couple others when I should have left well enough alone as they were chopping around)... I do know that I did much better this time than I did the last time I went through a big correction on my own. So I want to thank @Dan, @Scott, and everyone else here in the forum that has helped me along the way. I will continue to try and learn from my mistakes and strive to become a better trader.
- Cjauger: Watching $NVDA give the entire move back. This time I kept 60% of the money I made on that move, I only gave back 40%. Listened to @DAN but also to my account, I noticed that since the second $NVDA reversal on July 11, I was getting paper cut after paper cut. Moved to $CASH in the form of $JAAA. The lyrics from this song come to mind: "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em".

I am in $CASH now in my trading account. For me it is time to reset, going to a reunion with my brothers in Barcelona. Taking a vacation from trading. Cannot recall the last time I took a break from trading.Had a great run the first half of 2024. - Cjauger: $CASH. Had some profits in crypto and financials but these were retreating.

Schwab has a money market fund that pays above 5%, so when I go to $CASH you can use ticker $SWVXX to park cash and earn 5%. 0 fees
- Cjauger: @Simar297 $MSTR IMO, this is not a dip, broke decisively below an bear flag. Turn your screen upside down and it will look like a bull flag. Or look at the screen while standing on your head. Looks like the beginning of a falling knife, I have an HODL Coinbase account, I don’t trade it, but look at the balance as an indicator of risk on it risk off. Right now it is flashing risk off. Hence I am in $CASH and in $QID. As to when should you buy? Wait for green
- Cjauger: @ssoha20 $QQQ It can be a follow through day, never know for sure. Gaps tend to get filled. In this market, breakouts have not been working, and it broke the 50. This gives me reason to be cautious as to any upside. If I was long, which I am not, I would sell into any upside gap.. I am in $CASH (actually a money market that pays 5.14%). Also depends on your time frame. Watch @Dan’s videos from earlier this week Lets watch tomorrow and see.

- Henry: @southernmum $CASH If your theory is that we are going to have a pullback, so you can buy cheaper, I wouldn't put it in a vehicle I expect to go down. Td Ameritrade has $SWVXX yielding 4.93% according to the Schwab site. It trades with a 1 day settlement, meaning if you want to use the $SWVXX money markert to buy $TSLA today, you better have told them to move the money one business day before.

Few of them are actual traders. 3. Most of them are wrong...a LOT. Scott and I just follow the trend. And if the trends are broken, we don't sit there on the idiot box and say, "The market is wrong. This stock is cheap! I think we've found a bottom." The price action is our boss...and we are good employees. We do what the market tells us to do, and we never talk back. They try to figure all of that kind of stuff, in Sports bars, all the time. My barber bet $1,000 on the Bengals and if they would have won, he would have won around 10K he said. He bets on football all the time, he has many bets every weekend, all year long. ...My brother could have retired years ago, if he and all of his buddies, hadn't been hooked on sports betting, with their bookies, for all of those past years.
