Discussed in this article: LinkedIn ( $LNKD )

LinkedIn ( NYSE:LNKD ), I’ve talked about this before, I’ve mentioned a few times, more than a few times actually, how sweet this has been as a short, because it’s so stinking obvious. Right at the 50-day moving average it seems like every single time there has been a tag it’s been a good time too short. I think this continues to be a stock you can short, don’t be selling and short it after two big down days like this, but this is not a stock you want to go long. I’m going to show you where I think this stock can go to.

Here’s the high, it gapped up a little bit above that, a little bit below 130.00. Let’s be real strict; let’s also look at an even number, I think this stock can go to 130.00, that’s my bet. If we just drag this over, I do this all the time, I say this, but it’s only because it’s true, this does not have to be that hard, if you can draw lines, understand that just like you in grade school the price is not always going to stay in between the lines. We’re expecting the expected here; it’s pretty reasonable for this stock to reach here in a couple months. Again, that’s the bottom of this gap, the top of the gap is right here, so this has a ways to go, that’s really what I’m saying.

I’ve mentioned shorting it a couple times and some LinkedIn ( NYSE:LNKD ) bulls, there’s always people that are just fans of Facebook, of Apple, of Tesla, apparently LinkedIn ( NYSE:LNKD ), that just think it should go up every day, the market is obviously stupid and wrong, and it’s just unbelievable, I cant believe so many people don’t understand what a marvelous widget this is. All I know is this, this thing continues to go lower; you want to short it into any strength, and when you cover that short and you start going long is right after that magical moment that you notice that this series of lower highs and lower lows has ended, and it’s being replaced with a series of higher highs, and higher lows. Until that happens, don’t try to pick the bottom, you’re just going to get messy, and you’re going to lose some money.
