- woodman: Some #Steel stocks moving or holding up decently. See $STLD $GGB. Some are moving up through middle part of "W" resistance area - See $NUE (flag above this area); $X (moving through it today). Keep an eye on $ZEUS as a potential phase 3 move back up. (Among these, I have only NUE.)

- debeers: Steel yourself-You could be in $NUE which misses earnings every other time and consistently pays too much for acquisitions because "eventually" they will pay off OR you could be in little $ZEUS which doesn't miss on earnings. For me its $ZEUS

Other than that- 1 pharma-$LLY, 1cybersecurity-Palo Alto networks 1 financial-$V 1 steel $ZEUS, 1 shipper-$ZIM I feel better about folks racking up interest than taking new loans for homes hence the $V. There will be some sectors that will do better day to day but, imo, that is the path to ruin because in one day you can get wiped out. just my opinion. .

Ukraine is the 12th largest steel producer in the world and this steel plant accounted for 45% of the country’s crude steel output last year. - debeers: $AKS/$RS/$ZEUS- Why were they mentioned yesterday in the forum? Here's why: I believe that the Congress will pass anti-dumping legislation. What the so called Dept. of Commerce and the D's believe isn't important here. There is precious little for infra and construction that hasn't had to be replaced after using Chinese steel. Its one thing to buy a cheaper fry pan: its quite another to have rusty bridge bolts. I live in the BayArea and the legislature here is learning the error of their low bid ways.

So expect this pull back to come 2-4 days of the days of the FIRST closure =>20. There is a chance that this number dips below 20 ATC. This is when the highly speculative stuff begin flying. Just a couple of small/mid cap working for me $DMND PKG $NXPI SNCR $ZEUS KRA $EBIX MAKO, bought back all of my $HAL short calls this morning, I thought $HAL technicals was moving nicely (no loss in the calls), pure luck- now no cap on the upside. I was looking @my data base of stocks, and many were up +20%, a few have doubled. I realized these stocks came from a low base, this morning I trimmed my longs by about 40%. Not making a market call, just have a feeling I can buy those stocks back cheaper. The old saying re pigs, don' t want to get slaughtered. If I don' t trade the rest of the year, am happy, I have made my year. :o)), it is all good. edit- add $OCZ to list of small caps.

- Russ: Metals: $WOR, $ZEUS, $SCHN, $CPSL, $CMC, $CENX, $ACH, $SID, $MEA, $GMO Along with the usual suspects we monitor, here are ten assorted metal stocks with some chart potential. Note that most of these are below their key moving averages--not all in the winners' circle, but check various time frames--so none are esp recommended, but most have collapsing Bollinger Bands. (Remember volatility squeezes can resolve to the downside.) $SCHN looks interesting to me for its 3 week uptrend and its Friday bullish engulfing candle on decent volume. It received an upgrade at noon on Friday, reflected in it's 15 min chart.
- Russ: Steel Also just noticed $AKS is @zig-zagging its way north. Many of the steel stocks look punky, but the $SLX is potentially constructive (unless and until it richochets off resistance at $49), and some other tickers such as $MT, $MTL, $SCHN, $ZEUS, and $X are trending up. Many are showing a narrow channel with support and resistance easy to define. Are we rolling over or climbing the wall of worry? I'll watch for @Dan's re-cap to help me think about this.
- Russ: Steel Steel is getting some attention (though attention to steel comes and goes). $STLD and $AKS are leading the way, but I won't buy them now. Several other charts are in consolidation and may move higher with the market. $X, $NUE, $TCK, $CLF, $ZEUS, $CRS, $TX $MTL is in a pullback on lighter volume with a little pickup yesterday. These may be worth watching.
