- DavidK: $AMZN, $META $KWEB $XBI 4 of the top 5 picks for 2024 from Dan Niles at Santori Fund . Can’t recall the other 1. I have followed him for years and he is usually pretty good with his analysis of markets . One thing we both agree on , fed is not dropping rates anytime soon . I bought and sold $XBI calls last week when it ran from 90-94 area . Looking to get back in

I don't know anything about $BCYC, but saw that an analyst at JPM a couple weeks ago kept an "outperform" but dropped his PT from $44 to $32. $32-$33 just happens to be what we chartists might see as a resistance area found at the Dec 2022-Jan 2023 highs. That would be nice gain from here!

- woodman: $XBI has had a nice reversal from the depths of the ocean. It closed above the 200d on Monday and again yesterday (and on it Tuesday), and is trying to move higher this morning (it has already made a higher high for the week thus far.)

- woodman: @natural $XBI $LABU - Rely on the $XBI chart for your $LABU trades. Leveraged ETFs, like LABU, aren't good/accurate indicators, IMO. Better, IMO, to make your trades based on the underlying 1x than the 3x's.

- woodman: @Lou $INZY - Nice one. Many of the small biotechs are showing life. $XBI has moved above descending resistance (drawn from 6/12). See, e.g., $PDSB which has been hot. It is trying to hold its latest move up through the 200d (it easily moved up through the descending 50d a week and a half ago). $ORIC and $VKTX are holding their moves through the descending 50d so far. Another interesting one is $MREO which is high consolidation right now.

I'm back in $LABU from around 2.70 and will sell and add accordingly. I believe you closed out you $LABD position? I do admit that I look to you, Champ, and bigbartabs for thoughts and ideas. You, along with a few others, seem to have the 3xETFs dialed in. Cheers.

- woodman: $XBI - watch closely. After moving above the 50d today, and testing virtually perfectly the descending resistance line drawn from its more recent high back on 6/13, it is now pulling back and trying to keep its head above the 50d. Generally speaking, XBI has been a graveyard since hitting its ath in Feb 2021. Though still above the 8dEMA, a failure here may allow for a $LABD trade.
- woodman: $XBI $LABD - weak bounce in XBI thus far this morning. I'm still holding LABD from yesterday.
- woodman: @DavidK $ARDX - Biotech - the entire sector, see $XBI $IBB - is a graveyard. Good individual biotech companies are being decimated along with the bad ones. My target pullback for ARDX has been 3.40-3.42 as a first stop; if that fails, 3.16 area.

I didn't with this one and am disgusted with myself. I should have just sold it at first sign of pullback like I did with $ETNB. ETNB was a good trade because I didn't F around. First sight of pullback, I was out with a nice gain.

- bhaden1: @DavidK $ARDX It is hard to explain why it has literally fallen off a cliff over the past 3 trading days. The company is executing on all 8 cylinders. Just doesn't make any sense. It appears that the sell off is sector driven. Look at the $XBI. Same sort of sell off. Not as severed but still a sell off. Hope is not a strategy, but I do hope that the analyst come to support the stock as this sort of selling is not warranted.
- woodman: $XBI has been leading all the 60%2B sectors/indexes on my watchlist today (though it is losing some steam). Three straight days above the 8dEMA/21dEMA/20dSMA, but still below the 50dSMA (under which it is flagging) and various resistance points. I'm keeping an eye on this brutalized sector, but I currently I have no position in XBI or any bear/bull biotech ETFs.

- woodman: @Nepenthe $ETNB $XBI $LABU - I had been shorting via LABD on occasion. Not currently. Looks like the pattern has been broken. And anedotally, I am seeing good action in a lot of individual biotechs I follow - some of which I've been planning to buy or buy back after selling them some time ago due to the carnage. - woodman: $XBI rebounding along with almost everything today, but I'd still bank on the pattern of selling (shorting; $LABD)) when it moves back to around the 8/13/21dEMAs (there's some wiggle room around those MAs and you just have to feel it out). Shorting works until it stops working. :-)

- woodman: $XBI another cliff dive in the making today. No real support to speak of for another ~$7 down (June last year) unless it miraculously manages to re-attain some descending support from two Septembers ago. I'm not feeling that. $LABD on XBI rallies back to the 8/13dEM area.

No system is perfect... but I've found that finding a process that matches up with what the majority / herd of seasoned traders stay within, is what you can depend on most. Finding that process is the key. The sad part is that it usually takes a lifetime to figure that stuff out! I've been trading for around 20 years now... and still feel like an idiot at times. Of those pairs that I tend to track $UNG/$BOIL $XLV/$CURE, $ITA/$DFEN, $XLRE/$DRN, $XLI/$DUSL, $XLE/$ERX, $XLF/$FAS, $FNGS/$FNGU, $XOP/$GUSH, $XBI/$LABU, $ITB/$NAIL, $GDX/$NUGT, $XRT/$RETL, $SMH/$SOXL, $XLK/$TECL, $XLY/$WANT ... only $XLE $XOP are close to being above the 8dema. Also, $UNG is tough, since it doesn't correlate well with 3x $BOIL I always track the 4 index pairs... $DJI/$UDOW, $SPX/$SPXL, $NDX/$TQQQ, $RUT/$TNA... of which none are even close to the 8dema. The only one that could be worth starting a position is $DJI, that bounced off of the 200dma. All the best...

- woodman: @bigbartabs #Market - Yes, I agree. $XBI as a sector has been downright awful. Shorting the group has been a good strategy for anyone who employed it. I have a small number of bios that - as folks know - I've researched and am holding not as trades, and to which I have been adding when conditions permit. IMO, they have great potential, but these are not for the faint of heart. Indeed, they are not for most people.

Though I think the sector could start turning around in the fall, that's a guess/hope. I'll believe it when I see it. So for now, playing it to go down more.
- woodman: $XBI - this is not an encouraging bounce at ~$77-$78 support. A fall through this level could be an air drop with ~$72-$73 as next support level.

Also, lots of complacency out there and while we're short term outsold (and could rally a little more), we're heading into an intermediate overbought condition (which usually results in anything from churning with lots of paper cuts to a pullback) AND the Feds announce their "intention" on Wed . Remember those days when your girlfriend (and parents) wanted to know your intention? Just a random thought!!
