- Nepenthe: @joelsg1 $NVDA $SMH lost the 200d, momentarily at least. Last time it did that it rebounded. Don't know what that portends but I do remember Dan saying years ago that the Semi's have to do well (along with banks and tranports?) for the market to do well. Maybe that's changed, as does everything, but I'll be curious to see what happens in that sector next week. Cheers.

As for "competition", $AMD and $INTC are the only credible competitors, both having respectable 3-D Graphics Processors of their own. - woodman: $ARM trying to move above the 8dEMA. The pullback took it down to the 200dSMA where it found support. It has a similar look to $SMH more broadly, but ARM is a little behind SMH's move above he 8dEMA. Lots of overhead supply, but maybe they can chew their way higher. For ARM, a move back to the 21dEMA and 50dSMA is about 11% and 24%, respectively.

- bigbartabs: $SOXL $SMH ... if you like chances of a semiconductor bounce... right at 3/8/24 support, with the 100dma
- Nepenthe: @bigbartabs $SOXL $SMH And if you look at the $SMH weekly chart, which I don't believe you do, it's rebounded to the 21ma where it seems to have found support before during its most recent uptrend. No position at the moment, but there you have it. Or don't Cheers.
- bigbartabs: @Nepenthe $SOXL $SMH ... I mainly watch daily, weekly charts. Note SMH week 3/4 is support, where its at now. I would wait for a daily chart rise off from that weekly high before I bought.
- woodman: @bigbartabs $NVDA - Indeed. I don't like the look here. A little fall out of the channel as it barely holds the 50d, with #Tech getting pummeled generally. Today is quite a beating for $SMH $XLK as they fall hard through their 50d. It's the third such beating in a week.
- bigbartabs: @woodman $NVDA $SMH $XLK #Tech ... I'll stick with my one and only $SPXL position as long as the $SPX stays near the 50dma. If not, I'll be out.
- bigbartabs: $SMH $SOXL ... fading semi-conductors? Or good buy point, right at the 50dma.
- wijimmy: @bigbartabs $SMH $SOXL ... I took some $SMH THUR,FRI around the 50day in my IRA , 401k and 457 ..
- bigbartabs: @vitoB $SOXL ... an all day $SMH cat fight with the 50dma.
- bigreek42: started $smh position 249 been waiting for this
- bigbartabs: $SMH $SOXL ... looks to me like SMH is finding support at the 50dma... and could bounce a bit before the close. Note that the weekly candle has now engulfed the prior 4 weeks of opens / closes.

- phgruver: @RichardinME $MU I've never been able to make money on $MU. :-( ...so I just don't trade it. The sector, $SMH, looks good though. Sideways price action while the 50DMA catches up. Longer term, I expect chips to pay off.
- woodman: @phgruver $MU $SMH - Within the sector, I'm still in $NVDA and $ARM.
- indigo1948: @woodman $MU $SMH $NVDA $ARM - ditto - also jettisoned $MU this morning.

- StockMarketMentor: Adding Micron Technology ($MU) to the ATI List. This is a pullback buy opportunity that's holding the 50-day moving average. I don't see this as a "gotta grab it right here and right now!" trade. But it's holding up, and I can see a stop placement very close to the entry. The semiconductor ETF ($SMH) is printing new highs, and $AMD is holding its breakout from Monday. Basis: 136.00 Stop: 129.75 Dan
- djgustoso: @Motorman $SMCI looks like all the semis got hit. $SMH and $NVDA charts look the same... Hopefully a small sell program that's done. In the grand scheme it's not that big of a move percentage wise
