- Docoof: @bigbartabs @Henry $ITA $DFEN —$RTX reported pre and it’s getting crushed. IBD: Raytheon disclosed it discovered a manufacturing defect in its Pratt & Whitney unit from a rare condition in powered metal used to make certain engine parts, which will require "accelerated fleet inspection." The defect does not impact engines currently in production, but a "significant portion" of the PW1100G-JM engine fleet will require removals and inspections in the next nine to 12 months. The PW1100G-JM engines power thee A32neo commercial planes made by Airbus. RTX estimates roughly 200 accelerated removals will be required by mid-September this year.

I opened this morning with a medium sized position in $DFEN... the 3x ETF for the defense sector. When I saw that it fell like a rock pre-market... I noticed it was all because $RTX had swooned. That's when I sent the forum alert to watch for a high probability of $RTX bouncing once it bottomed. When it did... I tripled up on my $DFEN position, and 'leter buck' The bounce worked fine since $RTX dug itself out, and then some, ballooning $DFEN with it. Glad it worked out for you too. All the best...

- debeers: $RTX-Each side, D's & R's will pretend to be fiscally conservative. in the end, does the President of Ukraine get his Patriots that he's requested? You bet he does because no one seeing babies being bombed and schools being reduced to rubble wants to be on the wrong side of this one. The sentiment against Russia is about the only thing that Regress agrees on but agree on it they do. Meanwhile RBC raises interim target to 115.

My son builds gaming and office PC’s and last month I told him I was looking for a new PC. He quoted me $1300. This weekend he tells me it’s now down to $1100 for the exact same build. I didn’t understand why computer parts are going down while everything else goes up. He has nothing to do with $BTC or trading but according to him when $BTC goes down computer parts tend to go down too because there is less demand from miners. Don’t know if he’s right or wrong but food for thought.

I felt that I had a better understanding of the pattern, and I felt that the trading range was tightening and compressing a bit, which would give the stock more impetus for moving higher after that breakout. It's not quite working out the way I believed it would...but I'm ok with it. Currently, the stock is down just around 1% from the entry, and still up quite a bit from my last suggestion about buying the rebound with a tight stop. I think it's likely to fall a bit more for a while. Beyond that? Insert shruggie here:
