I can still smell the acrid jet fuel and debris. I was depressed for months following ...and hold onto the memories of many folks that I knew that lost their lives in the towers.

Brave people going in to save the people stuck in the towers. Bless them all!

  • scottrades: @limes141 $RDDT A shakeout is something that breaks below support and recovers. Yesterday was a Downside Reversal (Higher Open, Lower Close). The trend is fine. The 8EMA and 21 EMA are your guides.

  • Henry: @charlotte $RDDT Good morning, I can't sleep either. The tops of the cup are supposed to be symmetrical. You are just picking a point in the middle of that ugly down draft to call the left side of the cup. The 50 dma is below the 200. The stock has only been public for a little over a year. Dan is big on these IPO stocks for returning above average returns, so it's definitely one to keep track of.
  • phgruver: @Henry @charlotte $RDDT Exactly, this is not a cup-and-handle. Instead, we are coming off a months long base (March 10 through June 13) and are seeing possible accumulation. The problem is, the volume is lighter. (Remember, volume confirms a move, if volume drops off, the move is suspect.) What you want to see is for $RDDT to break above the recent high, of $164.55, on above average volume. It is in a Bolinger Band squeeze, so it's worth watching, but, from here, it could go either way.

Though it may pull back it doesnt look too late for an entry as its just popping above the 50 and kissing the upper BB. Its also broke above the 5/1 high which was earnings. Stochastics, money flow and RSI all going up. Maybe a starter or placeholder and see if a pullback offers a better entry. if it goes up we can add and build a position. the market has mostly recovered from this mornings profit taking and as I said in an earlier post, this doesnt look like a strong Resistance zone to me YET.

Take a look at $ATGE its what u r looking for - 2 std deviation Bollanger Bands help to visually id squeezes. phase 1 squeeze (March 21 - May 1), phase 2 break out above the BB, phase 3 pullback phase 4, another leg up, hopefully similar to phase 2.

  • Bert953: @bigreek42 $exas $UPS $RDDT $TMO $SLV $SAM $ATGE Np, also, Dan's rules for squeezes include increasing volume on the breakout and the squeeze should be fairly close to the 50dMA $NVDL is an example of one that already broke out on increasing volume, price was just above the 50. However, the 200 is above the 50 (inverted MA levels) so that's a concern, especially since the 200 is a strong overhead resistance zone.
