- jeff_free69: $NFTZ #NFT #crypto Anybody check this new Defiance ETF out? I picked up small starter /spec position this afternoon (this is in a relatively low activity account, so I can just set and forget for the most part, and see if it gains any traction over the next few months.) It's purported to be an NFT play (personally I'm not really looking to get into the weeds in this area, but can't deny the buzz/trend) BUT it won't actually buy any NFT's directly. Instead, its a hodge-podge of companies that may benefit from NFTs, blockchain and crypto in general. Some familiar names in there like $COIN, $MARA $VYGR. And some others like $PLBY, which has some kind of NFT play Not sure why $DKNG is in there, but at least its been on sale lately https://www.defianceetfs.com/nftz-full-holdings/

- haonkered: @Westport $PLBY News of this offering was out two days ago. Where are you getting the information that pricing of this offering is released tonight. I'm with you, the cats out of the bag on the offering and its handling that well. Size is known also (4m shares).
- DAN: @DAN $PLBY This is just something to watch. The reasoning behind my caution now is pretty simple (but super important for me). If I take a trade that looks good, and then I learn or see something that would lead me to pass on the trade, then I won't just hold the trade open and hope for the best. I'll just start valuing my money rather than the stock that I bought with that money. So it's really just a rule thing for me. --Dan
- zman: @haonkered $PLBY you are right. @Joseph posted it in the forum on June 7. This stock was called out by @scottrades back in May. I took the trade then and sold for a nice profit. Too much uncertainty with the secondary for me to get back in. See what happens tomorrow at the open
- 8thTrader: @DAN $PLBY I am confused. The offering was reported after market close two days ago and caused the stock to sell off hard in after hours. But at the open it recovered fast and has been strong since. Not sure why news from 2 days ago matter now ? and why it has been added to the alert list now ?
- DAN: @8thTrader $PLBY Well, I didn't know about the secondary before today. I added it because it was breaking out. That's all. Pretty simple.
- Westport: @8thTrader $PLBY They announced the secondary but did not price it yet. Usually, it is a few days after the announcement that companies release the price of the secondary.
- DAN: @DAN $PLBY the secondary offering is 4 million shares. The float is 12.3 million. So this secondary is 33% of the float. That's a big number. To be clear -- don't expect any wisdom from me on this. It's just something I did not know, and it's only one trade. So I'm not going to spend much more time trying to explain the simple fact that I just made a mistake. It happens. Humility is cheap...and clarifying. Holding trades that you regret making can be expensive.
- Westport: @DAN $PLBY It dipped on the announcement and then continued up. Maybe we can look at it as an opportunity if it dips on the price announcement tonight. Worth watching for.
