- Docoof: @woodman This is a learning question, not a whether to buy or not question. When you look at $PATH and see no double bottom, do you see anything at all to suggest it’s probably unlikely that it will make a new low any time soon? This is hardly an urgent question and I don’t mind extreme brevity or even the one word “no” answer. Thank you. (I’m assuming the 5/10 low is much too far off from the 9/7 ATL to constitute a double bottom.)
- Cheezit: @Docoof $PATH My 2cents, which may be more than its worth... Looks like a failed consolidation in a long downward trend. It never brokeout and held. Now it's brokedown but trying to regain the previous channel, all while under the 200dma. I would be just watching to see what it does once the 200dma catches up.
- woodman: @Docoof $PATH - This may only partially (or indirectly) be an answer to your question. With an overall chart, and now this move, like PATH's, it may help your eye to look at the weekly. The weekly makes a better case for double bottom than the daily. Smooths things out a bit with that long tail but ultimate closing price last week . That said, It also shows how the 21week EMA has been longer term resistance, which still has not been broken. A ~30% move back to the 21wEMA off a double bottom on the weekly is nothing to sneeze at. Even back to the 50dSMA is about 20%. But I wouldn't assume the bottom is in. Honestly, I'd be guessing to answer "yes" or "no." Assume nothing, watch the action and mind the patterns and support/resistance.

What’s so key for me in both responses is learning what you’re looking at to arrive at a place where one can see the technical possibilities that the chart is showing—as opposed to (me) not seeing what the chart can offer as an approximate or partial answer to my question. - bill52: @Docoof $PATH I'd agree with woodman and cheezit's assessments and just add that it looks to have made a lower intraday and closing low from back on the early May low. while it didn't go a lot lower than back than, it none the less did, which IMHO usually indicates their are more folks wanting to sell than buy it right now. Additionally, and hard to say how long this continues to tread sideways if not lower. Can't hurt to keep track of it, but not a great look at the moment until it starts proving itself that it want to go higher in a productive manner.

- Pokersmith: Cathie Wood's ARK Invest piles into UiPath, trims Tesla Cathie Wood's ARK Invest snapped up shares of automation software provider UiPath Inc($PATH) in its strong stock market debut on Wednesday, while trimming some holdings in Tesla ($TSLA). UiPath's (PATH) shares surged 23.2% in their New York Stock Exchange debut, underscoring investors' appetite for high-growth tech stocks. ARK Invest's data showed the firm's exchange traded funds bought a total of about 2.7 million shares, about a third of the day's traded volume. The ARK Next Generation Internet ETF and the ARK Innovation ETF also bought a total of 247,717 shares of crypto exchange Coinbase Global Inc($COIN), which went public last week. The Innovation ETF sold 163,981 shares in Tesla, the data showed. Wood has long been a proponent of Tesla, arguing in favor of the company's disruptive vision and its adoption of bitcoin.
