However, I'm not adding on these until i see how the volume and price are looking near the close. Looks good in the first hour but that doesn't tell the story. worth watching.
- bill52: $IBB $LABU from my comment this morning, these looked interesting to add and the IBB is currently at a new high (by a buck or two), but the volume just isn't there for either of them. Will have to wait to Monday to see if more buyers show up with conviction. At least the charts are hanging in there.

I started building a $SDS position on Friday and added at the open this morning morning under the thesis that we'll see profit taking to kick off the year. Biotech liking the prospect of no more rate increases (hopefully).
- Onthemark: @bill52 $IBB $LABU Yes!, Long from below and added
- bill52: $IBB $LABU Noteworthy. a couple bio tech ETF's I follow and as of today, both are trading above the 50ema. haven't seen this since back in the summer. certainly not out of the woods by any stretch but a positive development in a badly beaten down sector. maybe a green shoot. have a small position to keep it on the radar.
- woodman: @DavidK $ARDX - Biotech - the entire sector, see $XBI $IBB - is a graveyard. Good individual biotech companies are being decimated along with the bad ones. My target pullback for ARDX has been 3.40-3.42 as a first stop; if that fails, 3.16 area.
- traderbren: $IBB - looking constructive with the MA's stacked, the 50d crossing up through the 200d, and trying to clear the 20d overhead. NP as yet.

When it’s really hard to get a sense of what sector is leading I tend to cycle through the ETFs and look for ones that meet my criteria for a potential trade. Essentially out. Here's why your words are so important for all of our traders here... I've beat the 4 indexes $DJI $SPX $NDX $RUT by a large margin, total assets, for 5 of the last 6 trading days... just by being out. I consider that a very easy way to trade. Like you... the time will come when we can do "life changing money". But the trick is... having the discipline and patience to wait for it... and not fritter away your money until then. This market has been truly a disaster for some time. But times will change.. as soon as the trigger occurs (and it will), for traders to feel the FOMO with this big down draft... "The opportunity". FWIW... all the best...

- CrazyTrain: @woodman $XBI $IBB $LABU agreed WM... IMO this $XBI $TAN sectors and solar will lead the market but I'm flexible.. Holding them both for a position trade with SL at 21 EMA lines

- woodman: @Pokersmith $LABU $XBI $IBB - I agree re "longer term." I wouldn't, and don't, hold leveraged ETFs as long term holdings. The reasons for not holding long term have been extensively discussed in articles/literature.
- champ: @woodman $LABU $XBI $IBB...I have NP's on these ETF's ......however on ETF's, they are great for trading....so I agree, for me, No-way...because even holding Step-down swings, over the weekend, carries some Risk...but I'm swinging 3 other ETF's, with real nice swing insurance profits.

- debeers: @bRobert $IBB $REGN -$REGN a juggernaut and the beauty of this one and $PFE is that Congress really doesn't want to embarrass themselves criticizing therapies they don't understand. With ya!
- issues: @bud_ozborn $IBB Cramer has been talking up medical stocks. He says since they do well even with rate hikes. $IBB, $XLV etc. I took a gander at biotechs and am buying these two in the morning: $AMPH (good BO with vol) $PCRX. We own $VRTX and put in limit orders for $AMGN and $GLPG. These are all from IBD industry group 99. I am buying $XLV in the morning. Great chart BO!!
- issues: Cramer said health care is the place to be in rising interest rates. I was looking at these: $XLV $VHT $IBB $XBI $LABU $PPH $IYH. LABU is up 35% in 10 days but still not very lively. XLV has the best ratings on Ameritrade. Does anyone have any suggestions?
- issues: @issues $XLV $VHT $IBB $XBI $LABU $PPH $IYH My choice is $VHT b/c it's not topping out; it has low expenses 1% (can't beat that) risk=below average; reward above average. Has the same portfolio as XLV but is 1% above XLV on the 10-day chart. I like the portfolio $UNH $JNJ $PFE $ABBV $TMO $ABT $LLY $MRK $DHR $MRK $BMY. It's the best of the healthcare ETFs and funds. I am buying it in the morning. Also I love the positive vol spike today showing 1.3 million shares purchased. I will add more if it drops.
- joelsg1: $AMGN Continuing bounce off 50d, unlike $IBB. Long and selling upside otm weekly calls against long stock.
- wineinquirer: $XBI $IBB $NAIL @scottrades both formed W's, $XBI gapped up >20d, $NAIL reaching up to 20d from below. Nothing remarkable re:vol but patterns look instructive. Np @ present but watching and reviewing ETF stocks (crazy w/$XBI 188 stocks, $NAIL only baseball team of 9). Could be worse...........$IBB 373 stocks.........ouch!
- traderbren: @champ $LABU - also keep an eye on $IBB as its getting closer to pushing through the 50d overhead although the 200d is above the 50d which is not a great set up. NP as yet.
- champ: @traderbren .....$LABU @ $42.50 is up 4.3% .....and $IBB @ $154.41 is up 0.42%....
- steve71: $AUPH $IBB $XBI Biotech charts continue to look like Biden/Harris polling numbers but Aurinia has been strong. Aurinia may be a hedge fund plaything, as swarms of twits bet on buyout potential. Their product Lupkynis is approved for lupus nephritis and is the real deal. Competition is GSK's Benlysta, FDA approved one month before. Further competition is possible but a year or two from approval, if ever. People seem to bid this up into Friday afternoon, looking for weekend acquisition news. I have been selling Friday afternoon, then rebuying M, T, W.
