This increases the supply relative to demand, which causes the stock's price to fall. Gemini is a regulated cryptocurrency exchange and custodian bank that offers a secure, user-friendly platform for buying, selling, trading, and storing Bitcoin and dozens of other digital assets. The listed name for GEMI is Gemini Space Station Inc. The platform was founded in 2014 by the Winklevoss twins, who are known for their early involvement in Facebook. They are also the largest investors in the company, according to the filing. Total revenue in 2024 was $142.2 million, with transaction revenue representing about 70% of sales, according to the filing. The company had a loss of $158.5 million last year.

Shares of Charles Schwab , Robinhood, other brokerage firms, and banks dropped after a disappointing jobs report raised concerns the economy is weakening and increased the likelihood the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates. On Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the U.S. economy added just 22,000 jobs in August, well below the 76,500 analysts were expecting. The government also revised nonfarm payrolls for June and July lower. If the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates to spur economic growth, that likely would hurt net interest income, a key source of profit for banks, brokerages, and wealth management companies. NII is the difference between what banks earn on interest-bearing assets and the interest they pay to depositors.

- StockMarketMentor: Adding Robinhood Markets ($HOOD) back on the ATI List. It has regained the 50-day moving average which qualifies this as a decent entry. The stock is still basically in a consolidation phase, but an entry is a good entry. I give this about 12% potential upside to around 117 without too much resistance. A logical stop would be around 99.50, which is about 4.6%. Basis: 104.40 Stop Area: 99.50 --Dan [Note: I've got a lot of stocks on the ATI list. Do not be overtrading.]
- woodman: $HOOD - I still haven't added, but am watching closely. I did well with this one from end of May through end of July. I bought back in early-mid August and have been holding these shares as it has essentially moved sideways since then. I'm looking to add, but watching for now as it battles the 8d/21dEMA on low volume today. I have a decent position already, so I don't want to add more until it makes a more decisive move.

But holding them is okay as long as they hold support areas - seemingly the 50d for both. Granted, PLTR gave a huge fakeout move down on 8/20 with that big move down through the 50d, but it bounced back to close above the 50d. Similar thing on 8/25. I am long and holding both for now, but not adding to either at this time.

- crackleback: @Henry $HOOD Its been my best performer. Started way back in high 20's took profits in 40 and 60's. Then back in like at 65 with you guys. Nice steady performer with that one hiccup Mar/Apr. Would have been best to just leave it alone. I really like the way it's trading here.

(Note: you may choose to keep a really tight stop on an initial position right below the morning low of 107.40. That's super tight, but you'd get stopped out if the morning gap starts to fail. Just remember that the tighter the stop, the greater the likelihood of getting stopped out) Great news about crypto being able to go into 401(k)'s. POTUS is going to sign an executive order authorizing this -- though I do not know the details. What I do know is that $HOOD has been squeezing for a while and we have been watching it.
