YETI cups are so awesome and the coolers are truly amazing, but $YETI will follow the $GPRO path.
They both have a loyal fan base but will ultimately be undercut by waaaay less expensive "generic" versions.
$YETI is not sustainable.
$SBUX ... - champ: $GPRO, @ $4.20 up over 10%, in the last 5-days, short seller Citron, upgraded this stock today, with a price target of $5.00, the News is GoPro said, sales were really strong on Black Friday and also on Cyber Monday. Retail sales are really strong but the markets always want more News, the markets need more baby-sitters. ....I posted that I have a swing position.
- champ: @CraigReynolds $DECK --- I'm watching, real nice retailer but it has always been a dancer, a zig-zagger, a Holiday stock, for sure. ......$GPRO, at $4.14 this is another name from the past and I remember when it broke thur $100, the news on sales is positive and they moved out of China, into Mexico.
- champ: $SPY, all the markets are Flat tonight and that is positive. All the markets were down today, all the world markets but call everything flat because they were all flat. However, my profits were nice today, took profits on 8-positions, some full and others were partial profits. I added No-New positions today because there was No real positive reasons, for that to happen, maybe tomorrow. I'm currently on hold and this market is now a daily event, for me...and I still swinging too many positions. On the open this morning, I only had a few positions that were down a little....and on the close I only had 5- positions that were down just a little, flat ...$GOOS, $NKE, $GPRO, $SUM and $SOI. I'm now ready for the open and our futures are up a little...but flat.

........No-question these numbers have slowed.....and it could be because of others reasons also and now the Feds are starting to drop rates. They slowed these numbers way-down and now they did drop once in August and it sure looks like another rate ... - Max115: $GPRO anyone have an opinion on this one?
- champ: @Max115 $GPRO --- Moving out of China, into Mexico, that is happening, with many of these smaller companies, the one's that can move will move. All add-ons or new buys, should be made on the close.

- JBed: $AMBA looking constructive, support at 20 MA. 200 MA has flattened from prior downtrend, 50MA shows shorter-term uptrend. Garnered a round of PT hikes after Q1 ER. Possible recovery after being crushed in the $GPRO debacle (btw, I have a position in $GPRO also). A bit of a dark horse, with resistance just below $45.

- StochasticCross: $GPRO looks likes it is about to squeeze, high short interest, tight bands, and the new products released are getting great reviews
- champ: @jan2138 $CTL --- $GPRO did the same thing... for 2-months in 2014, after positive earnings. This telecom/tech #Growth-Value stock is running because of mostly #Institutional buying...the larger players are taking positions before it runs away...is my guess but this should slow down, soon...the slower the better but that upgrade yesterday... is also having effect on the stock.
- Kristine: @DAN - On Friday I was looking at a few tickers that were green and one that caught my attention was $GPRO . I just noticed that it is also trading slightly up today too. Earnings already reported which were not so good. I looked at the statistics which indicates over 30% of float is short and I'm guessing that some of this action is covering. Could you explain the indications of entry and risks for trading $GPRO (or a similar pattern) on a squeeze? Thanks!

- CHOFF: @Junior1 $GPRO - the new Hero6 Black looked awesome though (I'm not GPro consumer yet but thinking about it). The new pitch is not to decide between GPro or your phone, rather the two devices work together in tandem to create amazing slo-mo videos or whatever via their app. It makes the video for you. No idea what the stock does, but I'll be watching. Question is how much disposable dough people have at Christmas. If they have to decide between a new iPhone X or a GPro, GPro has no chance.

I didn't do that this time. I looked at the earnings expecting to see disaster and their revs only increased 112%? People would rather put their money in $GPRO

- DAN: $GPRO -- "trade up" program on CNBC. Not surprising. I've long been saying that it's a camera company, not a media company. And once you've bought a gopro, you're likely to just hang onto it. It's not an aspirational thing like having the next iphone or car. It's a camera. But who knows? Maybe the newest hero camera links with instagram and you can broadcast videos with mustaches and funny faces on them.

This is a play on all the devices that were sold during the Holidays....$AMZN $FIT $GPRO and many others...I had a post on about their past earnings...yesterday. The 52 week hi was around $75....I'm thinking about adding but watching just for now....I'm holding a starter position of only 1/3rd size.....they are at 3 conferences today ...so I'm expecting upgrades in the next few days.

- champ: $AMBA @ $53.60 $GPRO - @captron --- On $AMBA...they reported great earnings on 12/1 and beat by 18% on earnings and rev were up 7.8% and gross margins expanded 40 basis points to 66.3% but they guided flat for the 4th because it was unknown at that point and the stock dropped for no real reason. Now we know that sales were great in the 4th qtr for All retail and that news came from Amazon ....and they reported best sales ever on all devices. Also $FIT on wearables....thats why there stock is bouncing. $GPRO will be reporting on 2/2 and $FIT on 2/22 but they already report great sales but no #'s. This is all great news for Ambarella $AMBA they make products that are inside these devices. I could be a little early but I have a new position today and I'm new Spec swing long with a starter positions... 1/3 size for now.
