- vitoB: @Auto $ON I’ve taken off what I added an hour ago. And I’ve been selling my $CLSK. It bothers me that $XLK is underperforming. Prob anxiety over $AAPL earnings but $GOOG and $META seem to be the funds that are going to any broadening positions. I bought some $META at 310. But this market is very fickle. And the past Fridays have taught me to lighten up before the weekend early.
- debeers: @traderbren $GOOGL -IMO when i look at this group, i have to own $META and $GOOG from a value perspective (and believe me, i don't want to own $META ut the kids at the Benioff Childen's Hospitsl and AARF need the money!

From the IBD article, "So there could be some one-off gains or losses, perhaps as the planned changes are announced on July 14. However, the impacts may be modest. For one, the big-cap Nasdaq index is going to adjust weightings, vs. a full addition or deletion. Also, far more money tracks the S&P 500, which is why S&P 500 component changes get a lot more attention than Nasdaq 100 moves." Glad it's just the $NDX and not $SPY that's getting re-balanced. That would have a much bigger impact.

Apparently telegraphed and you don't need to wait for exact reweighting percentages as NDX already published their parameters. Explains a lot of big-cap action today.

I'm down to only a few longs: $NVDA $TSLA $GOOG & $UPST One thing I do (in particular to help me sit with winners) is sometimes buy cheap out of the money PUTS on the particular stocks that I'm long. They act as " just in case" Insurance. So, as an example heading in to the long weekend, on Friday I bot this weeks: $NVDA 420 PUTS, $TSLA, 250 PUTS $GOOG 124 PUTS & $UPST 35 PUTS Hopefully the options ALL go to zero which would indicate the stocks keep climbing. Hope I explained this correctly.

I also ditched $AMZN balance, its up 8/10% BUT just not impressed with its performance. I STILL have: $CELH (new ATH 150 today) $FLNC (bought it yesterday) $MNDY (bot yesterday) $GOOG still have from 106.75 $TSLA (A BEAST!) still have from 181.50 $UPST (another beast) from 25.50 $GTLB (from yesterday) $FRSH (from yesterday) $HSBC (today)
