- DAN: @Margi1983 $ARKK $COIN Coin looks really good. Hard to buy here b/c you'd be chasing it. But I think the stock will continue to run because of the resurgence in crypto. As for $ARKK, it's always a bit of a canary in the coal mine -- both ways. It's the speculative traders dream (not a bad thing...just a thing). When it's really weak, the NDX is also weak. They run together both ways. When the NDX is strong, I like to look at ARKK and $FFTY -- two pretty distinct ETFs, but they all run together. Here's the comparison chart of NDX/ARKK/FFTY.

- Pard: $FFTY ugly today
- phgruver: One to watch. $FFTY has gone from a high of around $52 (Nov. 2021) to a low of around $22 (Jan 2023), but is has been in a really gradual uptrend since that low. In a day, or two, the 200DMA is going to cross back below the uptrending 50DMA. This portends well for this etf. It is down a bit today, along with the market, but if it pulls back to the 20DMA (around $24.70) I will consider adding. This one has been a dog, but if the market takes off, the $FFTY should do well.

- DAN: @sagsworth $FFTY YEah, it's something I look at. But there are so many indications that the market is weak that I tend to not look at it that much. Where the FFTY is really helpful is in spotting tops. It will virtually always start rolling over before the broader market.

- issues: @Docoof $IWM another small cap fund is $TNA. I looked at the portfolio for TNA and guess what? The one holding was IWM. So I guess they just gave up and use the portfolio of the IWM. TNA is a 3X the IWM so it goes faster up or down. TNA is down 66% in a year. I can see why they gave up. On top of that, you have to pay them 1% just to lose your money. No thanks. NP Oh yeah, here's another one $FFTY (IBD 50 portfolio - blend of sm and lg caps) down 42% in a year. Great!
- phgruver: Just a quick tidbit, FWIW. $FFTY is in a tight BB squeeze, about 4.5%. It's also in a basing pattern. It's going to break, one way or the other pretty soon. Not a buy RHRN, just something watch.

Seemed to always track stronger than $SPX $SPY for example... until around January 2019. Then all of a sudden it seems something changed in the way it was being managed... verses back to when IBD started the ETF.
- phgruver: @bigbartabs $FFTY $SPY $SPX I think you are trying to read too much into it. The $FFTY is made up of micro-cap and small -cap stocks that are tech heavy. They outperform for short periods of time, but always pull back to the S&P500, i.e., no net gain, unless you are able to sell at the top and buy at the bottom. RHRN is one of the few times that the $FFTY has underperformed the $SPY. This will be a buying opportunity when it turns, but WAIT FOR IT! It hasn't happened yet, and probably won''t happen for a month or two. I have a tracking position in $FFTY, but I'm not expecting it to do much.

- DAN: @bigbartabs $FFTY Good point...but $FFTY is just one aspect of IBD...and it is not managed or originated by IBD. It's an Innovator ETF. I'm sure they probably pay some kind of licensing fee to Investors...but the volume of the ETF is not, in my opinion, related to the interest/usefulness/popularity of IBD...but again, it's a good point.

$NLY -- easy to hold...more than a year later.
$BOOT -- steady price action, but no real upside momentum. (Stop is at 79, which is a break even trade)

$POOL -- Stopped out at $472 yesterday. Loss was about 3%. Nothing wrong with holding this stock, but the trade was based on a 50-day moving average support, and it didn’t hold. Like the Space Station, when refrigerant low, look for leak, that is the problem. Low refrigerant is the result; need to fix the problem also. Otherwise, back in a week,month to add more. A good AC tech will look for the leak; A new AC tech will add refrigerant and leave; A salesman disguised as an AC tech will tell you your system is old, need new one. A great AC tech will find the leak, show you, fix it and charge a small amount. Good luck.

- DAN: Adding ARK Innovation ETF ($ARKK) to the Active Trade List. $ARKK is starting to perk up along the 200-day moving average. From a purely technical standpoint, this is still not quite in the sweet spot because the 50-day moving average is below the 200-day moving average. But that will flip in a week. But I've looked at all of the $ARKK holdings and 37 of 46 stocks are up today. At the same time, the $FFTY (IBD 50) chart is looking pretty solid. Not buyable yet,...but solid.
