Added to $PANW after their ER dip, and after seeing all the analyst's upgrades. proved to be a good entry. These two are the biggest in the cyber security space and price action has been very strong for both. Long term holds. Surpasses $4 billion ending ARR milestone, grows 27% year-over-year to reach $4.02 billion Exceeds $1 billion quarterly total revenue milestone, grows 29% year-over-year to reach $1.01 billion Delivers cash flow from operations of $326 million and free cash flow of $231 million, achieving a free cash flow rule of 51

They are the two biggest in the space and directly competing, so I own both as profitable positions. Sometimes they trade together on market news, and sometimes they trade opposite on company specific news. Today, it's $PANW that got a big downgrade from HSBC with a price target of under $300.
- woodman: The software stocks won't quit. $APP $IONQ $NOW $HUBS $GDDY $CRWD $CORZ PLTR.... $SHOP is interesting, having drifted back to the 8dEMA after the big move on 11/12. Wide BBs, so probably needs to do some work, but nice to see that support.

- kenb: @joelsg1 $PANW $CRWD in my opinion, yes. They are competitors in the space and the two largest players in the cypher security space. I actually initiated a position in $CRWD in the summer after their outage sell-off and has come back nicely for me as well. One thing about these software platform providers is that once a company migrates onto their platform and integrates it into their own operations, it's very difficult to change vendors due the time and expense of moving to another vendor. So, the customer base becomes somewhat sticky. I was an IT engineer before retiring and lived through a number of these migrations, and that exercise is always complicated so management thinks twice before doing it. And both companies have great products, so unless there are other mitigating circumstances, customers tend to stay. And companies need cypher security protection more and more each day.

They are all working well, along with many others we’ve been in: $PLTR (up another 2.5%, $TSLA ... - Cjauger: $CRWD, looking good. When their incident happened, I was in Begur Spain, a small town north of Barcelona in the Costa Brava. In the local news, they mentioned that the crowdstrike outage was impacting businesses in the area. That tells me that the breath of their foot print is huge. My brother is an IT security profesional, also tells me that CRWD is the best. $IBIT and $MSTX the crypto trade still on fire, my HODL coinbase account is a an all time high, thank you Scott.

Also own $PANW, initiated after the Feb 2024 not liked earnings report, and added on the way up, now very happy. These are the 2 biggest names in the business and their products are greatly needed to prevent cybersecurity threats and can be considered AI plays as threats become more sophisticated. Both are long term investments for me. They are extended right now, so waiting for new bases to form or a correction down to some support level before adding again. Cheers.
