- champ: @phgruver $BJ $OLLI $BURL ...I have been trading BJ for a long time... #Growth-stock, as you already know...because they keep slowly growing their membership and locations, plus also their distribution-warehouses that they need.......and in April they opened up 3 new locations...and in June they announced another 3 location, for early 2025. .....Safe...nothing is really safe, however I believe that they will Beat and Reaffirm, like last time and if they surprise, that would be a real nice plus, so I'm going to hold a small position... because their last 3-location, are now fully opened-up and #running-strong now...and Growth-discounters are working, especially for customers that need to watch their $$$......and Growth means, slowly growing their #membership, their #customers and that takes New-locations, is how they grow, however everything takes time. - Crodmm: @champ $BJ here in south Florida we do have BJ’s. Great prices for example the 5 oz bag of chopped and washed romaine lettuce is $4.59 at Publix and only $1.69 at BJ’s
- woodman: @champ $BJ - My wife is a member. She likes it. They have the best prices on lunch meat and some other groceries, as you've pointed out. The gas is the least expensive around too (though I have not price-checked it against Costco's), but unfortunately it isn't "top tier" gas. Costco has that, but not BJ's. I recently researched some issues with the engine in one of our vehicles, and using top tier gas that has all the detergents probably makes sense for that vehcile, so we may stop filling up at BJ's and bite the bullet on paying for "better" gas.

He ended up moving to Arizona for a better job in the same market. I haven't talked with him since he moved... but for sure a monster sized industry out here in the west.

- phgruver: I was just looking at my daily summary of all may accounts. I was a bit surprised to see that $BJ has been on fire, since earnings on 3/7/24. Just today, the stock is up 5.94%! I have been in it since the re-ipo, a couple of years ago, so I'm sitting a pretty nice gain.

- champ: @Robert1965 $OLLI $BIG $BJ $BOOT .....My main Retail investment position is $OLLI, which is also my largest position and I also really like $BOOT, because they have all the nice apparel items in their stores, for #causal-wear, for those who like to wear jeans, so everything is all in one location, which makes it easy to shop.........and both have room to really have nice moves before they report their earnings.......and my guess is, both are going to have real nice earning-beats..... ...then $BIG and $BJ.....and I'm holding all 4 as Investment positions, could also trade around your Core positions, with trading positions..... ...and now the only real risk is how traders are going to handle all the daily zig-zags, that the Markets will have. - champ: $XRT......Retail #Holiday Sales were reported up 3.1%, and Online Sales grew another 6.3% this year, both numbers were YOY, excluding Auto's and that those numbers are strong, because last years strong Retail numbers.... ...this report was per, #MasterCard-SpendingPulse, today, 12/26... ....these numbers were Sales from 11/1 thru December 24th..... ...$OLLI $BOOT $BIG $BJ's.... many companies are going to have large Earning-Beats......

- champ: $BJ at $66.50 this is a nice #Growth stock, that should follow and #outperform last years chart...see the move off of last December and Now with 2 New-locations, that #just-opened...thats why they should easily outperform. ....Should also get new upgrades, right after the first of the year. Could see their stock price climb back to around $80 or more and as usual, everything depends on the Markets...and Upgrades.
