  • kenb: $EVTL watching for an entry. Already holding $ACHR and $JOBY. Vertical Aerospace Ltd (NYSE:EVTL) is making headlines after completing phase three wingborne testing of its VX4 prototype. With backing from American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ:AAL) and Japan Airlines (OTC:JAPSY), Vertical has around 1,500 preorders. It's targeting full certification by 2028, positioning itself as a global player in advanced air mobility. And today's announcement. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy today announced a new pilot program within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to accelerate the deployment of advanced air mobility (AAM) vehicles. The pilot program, known as the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), will form public-private partnerships with State and local government entities and private sector companies to develop new frameworks and regulations for enabling safe operations.

Both have talked about getting approved and going to production late 2025, could cause a run-up leading into that.. If they are delayed until 2026 it might have a negative impact on the price though.

  • kenb: $ACHR been ugly recently, but might have finally found a bottom at the 50w. Holding a nice position from below and watching for a potential add if it can bounce back up. Getting close to their certifications and launch in the middle east and US, expected late 4th qtr, but probably 1st qtr 2026. Risky because any delays will definitely drop the stock price.

Now sitting on the 200d looking for support. 12:10 PM EDT, August 27, 2025 (Benzinga Newswire) Grizzly Research is shorting electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer Archer Aviation Inc. as the firm believes competitor Joby Aviation Inc. $JOBY is a better bet in the eVTOL space. What To Know: Grizzly Research on Wednesday issued a bearish report on Archer Aviation, calling the company “the Nikola of the skies.” The short seller argued Archer has built a strong reputation in the eVTOL space through misleading projections and press releases, which it believes is reminiscent of what Nikola did a few years ago.

  • kenb: $ACHR news, up 2.5% Archer Aviation (NYSE:ACHR) announced two strategic acquisitions on Thursday aimed at accelerating its defense program in response to growing demand for advanced vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, particularly within the U.S. Department of Defense. One of the acquisitions is of a patent portfolio and hiring of key talent from Overair, a spin-off of Karem Aircraft. The other is the acquisition of key composite manufacturing assets and a ~60,000 square foot manufacturing facility from Mission-Critical Composites, a specialized defense composite manufacturer in Southern California.
  • kenb: $JOBY $BLDE potential merger. Have a size position in $JOBY, and a spec position in $BLDE thinking that they would somehow be involved in the eVTOL space. A double plus for me. Also own $ACHR. eVTOL is starting to take off. Joby Aviation (NYSE:JOBY) +3% and Blade Air Mobility (NASDAQ:BLDE) +20% – Shares rallied following reports that electric air taxi pioneer Joby is considering acquiring Blade, a helicopter and seaplane operator. While the deal is not yet finalized, the acquisition would give Joby direct access to Blade’s established urban air routes and infrastructure, particularly in NYC, and strengthen its position in medical logistics. Blade went public via SPAC in 2021 but has yet to report an annual profit.

  • woodman: Wedge Consolidation - $ACHR $QBTS. Wedge consolidations, especially on lower volume, are good signs and indications that we should keep our eyes open for a breakout. I mentioned $ACHR the other day before it brokeout as one I bought looking for a wedge breakout. That's what we got on Tuesday (start) of it and Wednesday (in earnest). The volume ticked up with these moves. Now, keep an eye on $QBTS as another potential wedge breakout. The volume has been relatively low as it moves into the vertex of the wedge along with the 50d in the area of the bottom ascending line of the wedge. This one could be nearing a move up and out. There never are any guarantees, but it's a set up I like.

  • woodman: $ACHR is holding yesterday's slight move out of that wedge I mentioned. I'd like to see a move (and hold of the move) above yesterday's intraday high. I bought a starter on 7/14 and doubled it yesterday. Today I added a smidge more.

  • kenb: $ACHR trading within a narrow range since early July with the 8d, 21d, and 50d all converging together within 10 cents of each other, all pointing up, with the 200d far below. Not sure how this will resolve and watching closely to add to position. Bollinger bands are 11% apart so I don't think it would be qualified to be call a volatility squeeze. Looks very interesting.
