- woodman: Casino stocks back on the rise. $LVS $MGM $CZR $WYNN, for example. $RRR has been ripping for some time and is at a 2023 high.
- woodman: $PENN - broke out, up through the 200d, then pulled back a little below it, now phase 3 move back up through it. I'm long this one. But similar looks for many in the #ResortsandCasinos stocks. Some have progressed more (or much more) with this move, but the entire sector is working. Others in the industry: $LVS $WYNN $MLCO $PENN $MTN $MGM $BYD $HGV $RRR $MCRI $FLL ($BALY and $CZR trying to get up thru the 200d)
- champ: All will be #Bounce-Candidates, at some point..... $CZR, down 9.4% and is at $37.62.... $MGM $WYNN $PENN $RRR $BYD $LVS $BALY....and also $DKNG, which doesn't own any Casinos......looks like Investors are #rotating-out of Casinos and I have NP's, however I will be watching for Entries, like I posted, at some point. ........This is a great time.... to Not have any $$$ in these stocks.....and I'm sorry that these investors are being #force-out....however these stocks will have entries, so let's have Alerts set....and we all need to #post-Entries, if we see any of them starting to make a slow U-turn, a move in the right direction. If we only knew when.....Red would turn Green, however for now, this Stop-light is stuck on Red.

But this 50d area is a natural potential resistance area, even if destined to move higher after taking a breath or pulling back. $PENN definitely has my interest. No position in either right now. I do have a position in $RRR from lower but it's already moved a lot.

All the Casinos, are going into their biggest party weekend of the Year...New Years Eve weekend...and all Casinos are Sold-Out. Plus every weekend, they are Sold-Out. Then Super Bowl, on 2/13.

Now I'm thinking about adding...because I'm making nice profits, but that always happens...right because thats how that works. $MGM $CZR $BALY $BYD $RRR $FLL $RSI...none of my Entries were easy on these stocks.

Stay focused and think about what is going on....

I'm keeping watch for a buy back, and bought a small bit back to keep my attention. This could be a short flag with a next move up, or a longer cup handle. Time will tell.

I stopped out of $FLL on10/4 with a fairly tight stop to capture good profits as it was reaching its old ath from May, but saw the flag which appears to be resolving to further upside, so I may buy it back.
- champ: @woodman $CZR $BALY $RSI $RRR $FLL $PENN ...They should move before earnings...into and after....for now Mr. Market is letting investors hold these stocks, for me I will be holding partials into earnings...but its not my call, its the markets. On $CZR and $RSI...I have Core positions from below and on $CZR...I'm in at around $28.

- woodman: $RRR - I've posted occasionally about this Resorts and Casinos stock. Among the many mentioned here, this one seems to be ignored. It's been a great performer since the March 2020 crash, and looks poised for higher prices on the weekly and monthly, though it may hit turbulence at this ath level.

It moved well over the better part of the last year but has been moving sideways consolidating at/around the 50d over the the last 2+ months. It's having a nice day off the lower part of the range but still rangebound. On the weekly you can see it's been holding the 21wEMA. It could be setting up for a higher move though I won't guess when that may happen. But this may be a good one to keep an eye on.

- Lou: @champ $PENN #Fun - I agree about nice profits to be made in the gaming business. My concern is that there are too many companies competing for the gamblers' business. In addition to the ones we've mentioned today, the big casino players and the regional casino stocks like, for instance $RRR, and the Native American gambling operations all want a piece of that pie. That's why a Canadian company like $SCR interests me. Likewise, a REIT like $GLPI, mentioned by @wijimmy may make sense.

In NV, we have William Hill which is both in kiosks and online and does live sports betting by the play, if anyone's playing. In CA, Bovada and others which I don't think does live, but it's been so long maybe they do. No need for $DKNG in either venue, and the law change if it occurs uneventful.

- Forexpro: Re: $E-MiniFutures, $RRR Good Morning, Friends, The E-mini futures remain above yesterday's closing level with 90 minutes to go until the bell. Most of the overnight activity was at lower levels, but there is a growing number of Time Price Opportunities above the "half-back" (midpoint) level. A sizable IPO is coming this evening; casino operator Red Rock Resorts ($RRR). Lots of big names are in the syndicate ($DB, $JPM, $GS, $BAC) and Theflyonthewall.com reports that the offering is several times oversubscribed. Perhaps needless to say, while the founding Fertitta brothers will be selling a large chunk of their stake, the offering is structured in such a way that they will retain effective control. It's the largest IPO in a while, though, (27.25 mio shares at $18-21) and could offer some trading opportunities. Best of luck today!
