- camaro69: Had new clue, a little late for me to double at this point. I've been selling partials into this pop. keeping a core. Thanks for the info. Rode my $NVDA long down this am then switched to $NVDL for the ride back up. These doubles can be useful at times. imo
- Vcondry: @camaro69 $NVDA $NVDL for sure i've been on $APPX and $LABX more action (and downside) with less capital out if you either don't want to do options or just prefer a little more risk control in my opinion.
- camaro69: @Vcondry $NVDA $NVDL $APPX $LABX great to know, I don't do options. They spanked me hard in my younger years! Thanks for the info
- woodman: @Cjauger $NVDL $META - I added to $NVDA this morning.
- Cjauger: $NVDA, $NVDL, $META moving higher $NVDA direct beneficiary of $META, $MSFT
- djgustoso: @woodman $NVDL $META $NVDA nice!! I added to Meta and Nvda is my largest position (after taking some profits off the table for PLTR before earnings)
- Cjauger: @woodman $NVDL $META $NVDA Yess!, I have been in $NVDL since the breakout on 6/23, and I have 30% of my account in there. Should have gone at least 50%
- woodman: @djgustoso $NVDL $META $NVDA - I also have a good bit of (though not as much) $AVGO, which essentially has followed $NVDA.
- woodman: @Cjauger $NVDL $META $NVDA - Nice, good get.
- Cjauger: $NVDL continues break out
- Nepenthe: @nollid $GRRR I use Merrill, and it deems certain securities as too risky to trade, which fries me. To wit, $MSTX or $NVDL, they downright refuse, and others such as $APPS and $LNKCY I need a passcode for. Each broker has their own risk averse guidelines, perhaps. You might need to call them. That's all I've got. Cheers.
- Cjauger: Added $NVDL, with a stop at LOD. NIce U turn
- Bert953: @bigreek42 $exas $UPS $RDDT $TMO $SLV $SAM $ATGE Np, also, Dan's rules for squeezes include increasing volume on the breakout and the squeeze should be fairly close to the 50dMA $NVDL is an example of one that already broke out on increasing volume, price was just above the 50. However, the 200 is above the 50 (inverted MA levels) so that's a concern, especially since the 200 is a strong overhead resistance zone.
- jeffslm: $NVDL - Continue to add agressively
- bigbartabs: @joelsg1 $NVDA ... I bought a starter 2x $NVDL position this morning. I guess there isn't a 3x version to trade yet.
- joelsg1: @bigbartabs $NVDA $NVDL Rolling into that key (for me) $122 level where I might have to trim after 5-day $17 pop.
- wijimmy: $NVDA , $NVDL .. catch a falling knife ???
- djgustoso: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL anyone have any thoughts on why this is falling? I thought their report was good last night with a double beat and raised guidance?
- wijimmy: @djgustoso $NVDA $NVDL … market manipulation, and uncertainty all rolled up into one is my guess
- champ: @djgustoso $NVDA $NVDL ....just Traders and the swingers took their profits and Now they will start to get back-in at around $126.....
- wijimmy: @champ $NVDA $NVDL …$126.60 daily 200 day .. is hopefully the line the computers are buying at
- champ: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL ....and as we all know, the Markets are full of Traders....it is real easy to Trade the Markets.......just gamblers at work....... .....and it seems that some Investors, just don't understand how the Markets work....... and there are #CopyCat-traders in all positions, either short or long, placing Bets...... ....its all about #gambling....and most all Investors, know that....... and that's exactly why, you hear about #Entry-timings all the time, some understand and others don't. Good Luck on placing your Bets and we all need Entry-timings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- joelsg1: @djgustoso $NVDA $NVDL Smallest beat past 9 Qs back to 2/23 when stock $100 lower. Law of large numbers. Mkt needs to adjust to new normal. Watching $126 200d and if that breaks $122 which is $3T mkt cap level. But at least posted put spread hedges working. Jensen keynotes big developers conference 3/18 when he usually shows off new products, so looking for bounce into that.
- wijimmy: @champ $NVDA $NVDL #CopyCat-traders #gambling....and #Entry-timings …yes yes . Love it ….different accounts for different objectives…. Put a little in IRA account for LT at the moving averages… and as you always say ,, using active account to start a day trade that hopefully turns into a swing position..
- champ: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL ...Yes ....maybe today or next week or next month......so for Now, the #guess is $126, for a hold.....but only to wait, to see how it plays out and the Markets are also in play.....also need the $QQQ's to be Green and the Greener the better it will be.... for $NVDA. ....The computers can see all around them, the computers are watching #everything....so think like a Computer..... .....work like a Computer for your Profits and they also know all of the current and #past News and also the News that is #going to be happening.......so it helps to have a memory that keeps on working, all the time. ....#Predicting and Guessing...can work, some of the time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- wijimmy: @champ $NVDA $NVDL $QQQ #guess #everything....so #past #going……. πππππ
- joelsg1: $NVDL Added March call spreads.
- Wolf: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL $NVDA said late Tuesday it does not endorse and remains neutral on the unsolicited 'mini-tender' offer from TRC Capital Investment to purchase up to 1 million shares of its common stock at $131.50 per share in cash
- wijimmy: @Wolf $NVDA $NVDL π
- wijimmy: $NVDA and $NVDL moving up nice this morning
- wijimmy: $NVDA , $NVDL …. looks like they are getting ready to test Monday and Tuesdays LOWS … $MSFT also testing days low … 401k’s not looking good today
- wijimmy: $NVDA, $NVDL ... OUCH...many others down double digits... need some Circuit Breaker help or new rules...
- marklesparkle: @joelsg1 $NVDA #DeepSeek same but I added $NVDL
- joelsg1: @marklesparkle $NVDA $NVDL #DeepSeek Good choice. Added March $50-72 call spreads.
- bigbartabs: $NVDA $NVDL ... this morning already has a longer, higher green monthly candle than the prior 7 months.
- djgustoso: @bigbartabs $NVDA $NVDL definitely continuing the breakout #injensenwetrust
- Cjauger: @bigbartabs $NVDA $NVDL Nice!!! my largest position
- woodman: @bigbartabs $NVDA $NVDL - Folks are in full chase mode now.
- Cjauger: @woodman $NVDA $NVDL nice of @Dan to get us in early
- woodman: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL - I started years ago as low as the teens split-adujsted, though likely would have done better just holding rather than trading it. More recently, though, we'd be remiss not to thank @joelsg1 for all of his great guidance.
- Cjauger: @joelsg1 $NVDA with $NVDL at top of my watchlists. $MSTR at the bottom. $TSM and $SMH also green
- Cjauger: @traderbren $NVDA @ HOD, added to my starter position via $NVDL
- wijimmy: @joelsg1 $NVDA …. $NVDL , & $NVDA watching both closely looking for some buyers and green bars both close to touching 50 day …
- Timothyja38: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL I took a small position on $NVDL around 10:45am today.
- wijimmy: $NVDA, $NVDL ...... Everything Cranking along and playing nice... but NOT $NVDA ... weird index's are up and $NVDA is RED... Waiting and watching...
- woodman: @wijimmy $NVDA $NVDL - consolidating near ath in the upper BB complex. I'm okay with this. Could be the build-up before next move up, and it's better than a collapse after earnings. But we shall see how this works out. Wildcard 2025 around the corner.
- joelsg1: @woodman $NVDA $NVDL Disappointingly heavy post E but using it to rollout short covered upside calls for credits.
- woodman: @joelsg1 $NVDA $NVDL - Yeah, but glass half-full, it moved down about 20% over the next week and a half after it reported back in August, and it took over month to get on to prices that were higher than the day it reported.
- joelsg1: @woodman $NVDA $NVDL No doubt it will get there.
- gmj: $NVDA, $NVDL large pos as do others, pleased when broke 144, curious for comments ref "what to expect" as goes into the dow before Fri AM open. 15 min chart shows green bars vol +, inst buying ... I will be watching into close Thurs with trailing stop to protect my pos through FRi AM ... just looking for how others approach this stock ?
- Cjauger: @billyzeke $NVDA me too, and via $NVDL.
- indigo1948: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL - also holding $NVDL - bought at $68.38 and have been selling calls regularly - very profitable to date and will so continue. Currently holding the $85.00 call expiring on 11/08 and will be happy to have it called away.
- billyzeke: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL I've been trading $NVDL intraday just about everyday, good way to boost the moves in NVDA.
- Cjauger: $NVDL at HOD
- Cjauger: @woodman $NVDA My largest via $NVDL, picked upl $VKTX, small as I was late.
- woodman: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL $VKTX - NVDL is paying you!
- Cjauger: $NVDA and $NVDL closing strong
- kenb: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL nice run-up the last 15 mins before the close to a new ATH. I actually trimmed a very few shares into that strength as it is my biggest holding by far.
- Cjauger: @scottrades $NVDA Also $NVDL Largest positions 1/3 of my account. Looking for blue skies, $IBIT on the move
- gmj: $MSTR, $DJT, $NVDA, $NVDL have been my trading stars in and out, been taking profits whenever possible since 10/11. Would like to see a drop in $MSTR of another 5% to 8ma but I'll be adding now on any drop and bounce. If Bitcoin continues up from here don't see how $MSTR won't regain recent highs. $MSTX is calling my spec portfolio bought 10 sh at the close !
- Cjauger: $NVDA, $NVDL @HOD. Largest position
- indigo1948: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL - holding both - just closed a call option trade on $NVDL - going to sell more weeklies.
- Cjauger: @woodman $NVDA Thanks for sharing, 20% of my account is in $NVDL and 17% is in $NVDA
- woodman: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL - Before we know it, NVDA will be $200. It's my largest position in a single, non-biotech stock.
- Cjauger: @traderbren $NVDA yess!! With $NVDL it is now my largest position
- Cjauger: doubled my $NVDL position at the open
- joelsg1: @Cjauger $NVDL Nice. I'm expecting a lid or at least test at the $3T level around $122.
- joelsg1: @RichardinME $DVA $NVDA $TSM $NDVL Or for a real jolt, buy st calls on $NVDL, leverage upon leverage, but you have to be the willow, when it bends down scoot. And no need to go way out on time, bound to sway a few times between now and then. Good luck, luck definitely part of the trade.
- Cjauger: $HOOD has now become my largest position. Trimmed $NVDL, was my largest
- Cjauger: took profits on $NVDL
- Cjauger: Closed $NVDL, great 2 day trade, added 1% to my account in 2 days. $NU is now my latgest position, closing strong
- Cjauger: closed my shorts, bought $NVDL
- Cjauger: @joelsg1 $NVDA Saw your post, then jumped on $NVDL. You nailed it. Thank you!!
- joelsg1: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL YW and nice trading.
- Cjauger: What a turn around, between 9:30 and 11 it looked like the next leg down. Then the market turned. Sold my shorts, and jumped on $NVDL and $NU.

DAN: @RichardinME $NVDA $NVDL
The implied move on $NVDL is nearly $15 bucks. On a % basis, the market expects $NVDL to move nearly 20% max, versus a little less than 10% max move for $NVDA. I would just be careful about trading options on $NVDL around e ... - makebackthemill: $NVDA, $NVDL- I would definitely like some feedback on the following. I am placing some GTC EXT (good till canceled, extended hours) on $NVDA at 112.90(small order and a larger one at 100.90) I'm good with that even if it drops back into the 90's I could pick up more if I wanted. Same thing with $NVDL just lower prices 50.51and 41.60 respectively. Obviously they are irrelevant if the stock shoots up. But for long term sometimes the first reaction is drastic to the downside.
- Dig44north: @makebackthemill $NVDA $NVDL I never trade after hours following earnings…crap shoot and volume
- RichardinME: @DAN Hi Dan, it's a shame if someone has a beef with anyone, they need to involve thousands of others instead of just sending an email like in the old days. In any case, I have a question about your $NDVL trade. I understand you were using this vehicle instead of $NVDA based on momentum and the added fuel of 2x. Do you feel $NVDL is better more for momentum/day trading and the $NVDA might be preferable to hold long term? My concern/question for $NVDL is that it's great if $NVDA goes up 5 percent, this goes up around 10 percent in a day. But if it goes down 10 percent one day due to a 5 percent pull back in $NVDA, Even if $NVDA makes up it's 5 percent on the next trading day $NVDA will only recover 90 percent? Hope my question makes sense?
- DAN: @RichardinME $NDVL $NVDA $NVDL Yes, the question makes sense. I look at $NVDL as a swing trading vehicle. Either for daytrading, or for holding for just a few days...for the reasons you mention. it's awesome on the way UP...but brutal on the way down. It's leveraged. But for longer term holding, I do favor $NVDA. We hold a bunch of it in our investment accounts and rarely even look at it. But if it was swinging twice as much as it is, I'd be watching it every day! ;-) Hope that helps, buddy. Dan
- Imortalz1: $NVDA, $NVDL on Tuesday I STO ITM covered calls on both. 125's and 65's I got about 4.00 for each ex. tomorrow so I'm good w/ NVDA from 120-130 and NVDL 60-70.

StockMarketMentor: ...
On the equity front, I like the way $NVDL is setting up today. After breaking decisively above its 50-day moving average on Monday, it pulled back more than 4% yesterday. But today we've already got 1.1 million shares across the tape and the morni ... - marklesparkle: @StockMarketMentor $NVDL $NVDA Dan do you think the Composite man is showing back into town
- trtl: @StockMarketMentor $NVDL $NVDA do you prefer $NVDL over $NVDX (other than volume)
- DAN: @marklesparkle $NVDL $NVDA Yep. He's got his trench coat and fedora on...just sneaking around. LOL
- DAN: @trtl $NVDL $NVDA $NVDX I "think" they're the same, right? Yes, the volume is a big deal...but 4.5 million on NVDX is totally fine. And I think that NVDX would be much better for people who want to use options to augment their returns, though it only has standard contracts (each 3rd friday of the month). For example, doing covered strangles. Buy the stock at 16.60. Sell the 16 put at 2.10. Sell the 17 call at 2.30. You take in $4.40 in cash. If the stock falls below $16, you get more stock put to you, but your cost basis is pretty low. Anyway, if you are doing that type of strategy, NVDX might be better if you are price sensitive (i.e., $16 vs. $68 bucks). NVDL has weeklies, so you could do the covered strangle strategy each week, which also works. Hope this helps, trtl.
- bigbartabs: $NVDA $NVDL has maybe reached its high for now, resistance, falling volume, now RSI pointing down
- billyzeke: @bigbartabs $NVDA $NVDL I trimmed some earlier, thinking the same.
- Cjauger: @billyzeke $NVDA $NVDL same here, trimmed half
- Cjauger: Trimmed half of $NVDA, $NVDL, and $QLD (my only positions) then went to $CASH. The rubber band went way down, and now it went way up. Both sides were parabolic, $SPY within 3% of its all time high. At the very least this charts have to rest, if not pull back some.
- billyzeke: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL $QLD $CASH $SPY I trimmed 1/3 of my $NVDA position earlier and have staggered stops in place in case things start really moving to the downside. I actually added a little back at $126.25, I'm watching it closely.
- Cjauger: @billyzeke $NVDA $NVDL $QLD $CASH $SPY. I thought about putting a stop at the LOD on my remaining shares. Then I looked at how much open profit I had, so I took it, will wait for charts to reset. Seating on my hands, hard to do.
- billyzeke: @Cjauger $NVDA $NVDL $QLD $CASH $SPY I find it's hard for me to get back in sometimes so I try to hang in there if I have a decent cushion and the market isn't completely falling apart.
- jeffrhen55: @DAN $NVDL Did same with my NVDL holding this morning. A profit is still a profit. Take care of yourself - getting older is not for the faint of heart, Dan! (My next B-day in a few months is a big one - 70 - Yikes!)
- Cjauger: $NVDL thanks for the option strategy lesson @Dan.
- joelsg1: @Cjauger $NVDL Didn't hear, in a nutshell, what was the strategy?
- Geewhiz: @joelsg1 $NVDL sell covered strangle
- joelsg1: @Geewhiz $NVDL OK, thanks. I like call spreads generally and opened 8/30 $69-78 spreads.
- Cjauger: @joelsg1 $NVDL sell the weekly 65 put and sell the weekly 70 call, I collected $3.86
- DAN: Taking $NVDL for a little ride this morning. Depending on how it acts, I might carry it over the weekend...or not. Stop is below today's intraday low of 61.32. Not too far below...but I'm trading under the assumption that the stock will not fall to a new intraday low.
