- Yes-Man: @Scottrades Scott can u look at $BKE It' s approaching a resistance level, and a high from April, August , and September. The last earnings is out of the way w a beat a few weeks ago. The 50 ma is sloping up and has crossed the 100ma, and approaching the 200ma, which is sloping down on the daily chart. Took a small position on the bounce off the 100ma. thinking of adding if clears the last two month highs. This is a position trade.

I have a crude search for up on above volume.. $BKE, $CHS, $GPS,$JCP looks to have a tiny double bottom that broke, $KSS (but at the top of the recent channel), $M maybe out of that recent little double bottom? $PLCE also been moving up well last few days.. Back over the 50ma. And then there is Dan's good friend $WMT for some reason this sector looks to be on the go.. and it looks like the ones that have been mutlated the worst earlier are the ones they are interested in.. I would gather its a reasonable area to do some poking a prodding in if your not already playing in this area.

You dont' really have to pick the bottom because they are already moving up. I don't think there is a general trend though because we could be down 30 handles in the S&P in the am and it won't matter.

Then another Bull Flag on 3/8 move and today it is continuing up almost up another dollar. The $NY U.I. numbers seem to be improving so I can assume this is happening elsewhere in the country. - hallsreef: @Headscratcher - Don't know about $WYNN, but $BKE does a similar 1 time offering now and again. This year, on 9/22 they announced a 1 time $1.80 div. The stock continued up and up until a few days prior to ex., and has since retraced to pre-announce prices. $FCN * Fti ... - dennis: $GS conspiracy theory- if the bears want to scare us and drive up the VIX they can target a stock like $GS with put buying. That drives up the VIX. $NOV GS put activity is light. OCT 185 Puts:Calls is not tremendously high volume but favors puts over calls indicating the stock will drop between now and the 16th. OCT 190 calls are higher than the puts today but $GS does not figure on any high volume lists for today. The call put spread is $9.45 at the 190 level indicating this is the maximum swing the market makers expect. Volatility is actually dropping from the open. The bears are not trying to slow the market using $GS as a vehicle. Todays high put volume leaders as a % of average volume includes $KBH COST $WCG HTZ (#Cramer pick) $BKE LTD NBL. No #financials. FWIW
- Russ: $BKE appears to be in a short #squeeze. Might be interesting to observe. Seems to be about 5 days to cover about 30% short from what I can tell. I made an entry two days ago at 28.50.
