- woodman: $HOV - nice bounce as it leads the residential construction stocks today. I bought back shares on the move up through the 8dEMA this morning.
- StockMarketMentor: $HOV reported earnings this morning and the stock is down 7.67% at 137.54 -- below the 139.25 suggested stop area. The stock gapped up at the open to $152 on light volume and then went south. It's rebounding a bit now and back to $139. The company cited uncertainty across global, political and economic fronts that is weighing on consumer sentiment. Their revenue increased, but earnings fell dramatically -- $1.99/share vs. $9.75 a year earlier. That's a big deal. This is now off the list. Beware the other homebuilding stocks. To manage risk, I'm taking all of them off the list -- $NAIL $XHB $LEN (And $HOV). In a very uncertain environment, it's best to stand aside than ride it down. Remember: Risk first! --Dan

- DAN: @RD $HOV If you buy 'em all, yes! ;-) It is thin...but the uptrend is pretty clear and the sector i s working. As such, the thinness could actually be an advantage because the stock is harder to buy. But you do make a good point, RD. Thanks for mentioning it.

It’s becoming obvious even to th Trump haters on the business channels that rates should have already been dropped . $LGIH trades future earnings at a pe 15-30 % below other builders . Entry level builder so they should be in th sweet spot if economy takes off and rates drop .

Ave price target on street is 94 per the article . ( STOCK STORY - I belong to their site ) next earnings report big and also guidance . They have an increase in backlog but actual homes built last report went down. Indicates they can’t find the help to produce or something else contributed.

Mortgage broker buddy of mine business down 66% over last year . New home construction is the place to be because of small inventory of resales. But , ave Joe Blow can not afford mortgages .
