  • issues: What's new on IBD 50? This week's new additions: $BPOP $CDW $DFS $ETSY $FND $FNKO $G $MNST $NGVT $OLED $PAGS & $TGE What's taken off? $AME $AMZN $ANET $AWI $BERY $CDNS $DISCA $MTOR $MTZ $REXR $SSNC $STOR $WLTW. As I look at the charts of those taken off vs those newly added, I wonder how in the world do they decide what to take off and what to put on. I don't think they use charts, b/c I don't see any pattern to their actions! Do you? Doing my diligent research on $NVCR mentioned today in the magnanimous Forum (here!): I found these in the same industry group #68 Med Products: $MDXG $QDEL $CFMS $zyxi & $ATEC Just looking at these charts, what do you see? $ATEC looks like an interesting flag pattern (phase 2?). What else do YOU see?

  • kwilson123: Does anyone have knowledge on $G? It seems to be moving in the right direction. i.e. Winners circle. Thanks for comments.
  • Forexpro: @kwilson123, $G Hi, Kwilson123, No, unfamiliar with the stock until you mentioned it. I note that the company is doing a modest share buyback ($250 mio) that was announced at the end of last month, and produced earnings that were well-received, with a nice subsequent price target boost (to 24 from 20) by one analyst. The chart is tough to buy, and there's no option volume. Might be one of those tough ones that necessitates taking a small starter position and then adding as it demonstrates good habits. If I was going to put on a full position, I'd personally wait, at a minimum, for a pullback to 21.65. Identifying the reference point for a stop is also tricky; possibly something just below 21. Just some quick thoughts, for whatever they might be worth. It does pull back from time to time, but not frequently, and not very far. Best of luck with it!
