Going forward, I'll be looking at some healthcare stocks like $MCK and $DGX, both of which have some strong uptrends. One name that some of you are familiar with is Cal-Maine Foods ( $CALM). The stock is in a steady uptrend, and it sports a divide ... - woodman: @DavidK $LLY - Something that could come from this, and it would be a good thing for consumers, IMO, is transparency in drug pricing and, particularly, exposing the drug pushers - $MCK $CAH, et al. - and get them to bring down their take. I say that even as I own some $MCK.

The more testing they do and the more data that come in on them, the more they are finding these to be wonder drugs with so many benefits - not just weight loss itself. $LLY's Zepbound (aka Mounjaro for diabetes), which is superior to $NOV's Wegovy (aka Ozempic for diabetes) is currently $449 per month for private pay without insurance coverage for 5mg, which is on the low end of the dosing (it starts at 2.5mg, which is meant as a starter from which to move up) and goes to 15mg. Insurance doesn't cover it for the great majority of consumers.

- woodman: $CAH (np) and $MCK (long) continue to work. MCK isn't anything wild and crazy, but just slowly chugs along higher. It reports 5/8. CAH had a wild day when it reported bmo on 5/1, but it resolved strongly upward.

So what do we do now. I was long the semis ($ON and $NVDA) on Monday, as mentioned in my missive on that day, and sold my positions on Tuesday. The support level is the 50-day moving average. It wouldn't be something I would buy here...but it could be a low risk trade for you, vito. You just keep your stop below yesterday's low. Make sense?

- debeers: Covid update-we've now lost 250,000 in this country as of today.. FDA expected to decide quickly (for them) 2 dose vaccines with headache apparently being the biggest side affect. Hospitalizations up again and New York shutting down. $NVDA down an expected couple of per cent after report. Now we wait for the new estimates. $MCK/$BNTX seem to be responding well for reviews. The problem is that any delay in distribution will result in more fatalities. ICU beds devoted to Covid i expect will cause deaths when unrelated medical emergencies cannot be accommodated. In southern California recently a heart attack victim could not be accepted because there wasn't a bed in the facility closest to him and he passed away. So terribly sad.
